Now passengers need ID to travel within Britain

Passengers on domestic flights and ferries between mainland Britain and Northern Ireland will be required to carry identity papers for the first time from next year.

I'm surprised they only do it now as in the US you won't go past the Welcome buffet area without a valid ID..

The main terminal, Barra Airstrip, Hebrides, Scotland.
Flight times depend on the tides, not sure about security.
