Occupations during the 18th and 19th century are usually listed on immigration
I think it would be great to create a list for those researching, and even go back
further as occupations changed over time.

some of the occupations I have seen in my researches are
Laborer-
Farmer
Servant-housemaid, nanny
blacksmith-metal
deck hand-sailor
soldier-military
Berger-landlord of property
Town administrator-Mayor

all found on immigration. as for inside poland, during these times, can someone
add to this. and if it appears to be unusual or never seen before occupation
to maybe give brief description?

Some I have found on the birth and wedding certificates of family members are:

Store Keeper
Shoemaker
Cooper
Carpenter
Reservist
Soldier
Weaver

Anyone know what "pod sadowy" is? I think it's some sort of a civil servant.
