Reminds me of that rugby player that discovered a tooth embedded in his skull from two weeks earlier.

That's why helmets should be made mandatory! *nods*

Reminds me of the Russian guy that went home to sleep it off after an argument with a friend while playing cards...

It was his wife who called the ambulance after noticing a large hunting knife sticking out of his back...
The guy was totaly unaware there was anything wrong....!

Man...has someone researched these phenomena already? Is there a scientific name for not spotting bullets, teeths or knifes in their own body???

That was actually a girl from Moskou, who got mugged on the way home. She thought she got away easily until she got home and her parents saw a knife sticking out of her neck. Thiis happened not that long ago, less than a year, I think. It was in the newspapers.

>^..^<

M-G (or how about that story of a granddad whom doctors discovered he had an old German bullet in his body since WW2 - I forget were it actually was, but it had been there for 50 years or so)

That seems to be more common than I thought...

*goes looking at self searching for bullets and knifes*

A bullet in the head

A Polish man living in Germany went about his business for about five years without noticing he had been shot in the head because he was drunk when it happened. Police in the western city of Bochum said on Tuesday doctors found a .22 caliber bullet in the back of his head after the 35-year-old went to have what he thought was a cyst removed.

These things kind of remind of what happened to the past Polish pope when he was a young guy. He was walking on the side of the road when a Nazi tank hit him (not sure if it was deliberate or accidental). He was knocked down unconscious but was able to live to report on it. I don't know how anyone could be hit by a tank and survive it.

Either God was watching him or he was a tough Pole, or both.

Or it was very muddy ground....

I heard of a soldier who survived a tank running him over...the ground was so soft it just pushed him into the mud rather than crushing him....

You think maybe God had a hand in these events? ;)

Wildy if I have a tank and the ground is muddy, will you volunteer to stand in the path of the tank? :D

Just to see what happens ;)

I find it difficult to believe that he was unaware of this. I had bullet fragments lodge in my face as a kid and knew about it straight away. The burning sensation and rivers of blood are usually a dead giveaway! Still a dull ache under my cheekbone when I press on the little buggers.
