I have a few bills from 1921-1938 in various denominations from the 1 zl bill to the 1938 1-200 zl. All are in very good condition. Are any of these worth money?

In America, older currency can be valuable. Is this also true with PL currency?

I never knew that 1 zl was once paper. The are design on some of these is fantastic! Way ahead of time with the water mark. I thought that was new to currency and to see it on a bill from the 20's is crazy.

I also collect the commemorative 2zl pieces which are prob worth nothing yet.

Old Polish currendy tends not to be worth very much because of problems with inflation in central Europe after the first world war.
I have a 250000 zł note here from 1923, it's worth a dollar or so :(

I'll check your ones in the papermoney catalogue and let you know if they're worth anything. But don't hold your breath, or plan any holidays or anything!

Hmm, I checked a catalogue and some of the Polish banknotes from that era are worth quite a lot, but most of them aren't...

It's the world paper money catalogue, I looked at it in the labrary.
There are lots of PL banknotes in the 1921-38 era - if you list them here by exact date, day month, year I can try and look them up...

Hi,

I just bought a collection of Polish banknotes.
Both old and new ones.

The interesting fact is that the standard catalogue picks 119-177 is represented here,
and picks 141-177 is absolutely uncirculated, beautiful and pristine and crisp.

I live in Norway. Where will such a collection get the highest price- in Poland?

if you have the standard catalogue, you'll find the picks there...
it is basically all banknotes from 1965-1994 uncirculated.
