The origin of Derythe name

Could anybody help me? I knew a girl called Derythe. But i canīt find the meaning of her name, I guess it is polish, Iīm not sure. Does anybody know anything about this name?

No such name in Polish. Maybe you mean "Dorota" ("Dorothy" in English)?

It may be slave or something. It also may be ancient because i canīt find any reason. Looking for it, I found something in a polish site wich i absolutely canīt undertand. it is uoclone.gal.pl/24.

Why the speculation that Derythe is Polish? There is nothing Polish about its appearance, and the th is a real turn-off in terms fo Polish orthography.
