You can go by InterCity for 30 euro so why should someone pay 40 euro?

Because it takes like 6-7 hours by train?

Yes,but in my opinion the train in more comfortable :)
But that's not why I wrote my post-when you advertise as cheap transportation then I show cheaper way to go from Wrocław to Berlin. If someone prefers to go by car than it's his choice.

Yes it's 19 Euro (runs daily), can't get any cheaper.

The downside is that it is a 5h 30min journey.

Not bad. Compares with driving, and given the hassle with the trip to Wroclaw Airport at the minute, doesn't do too badly compared to flying as well. I guess flying would take about 3:30 centre-to-centre, so for centre-to-centre trips, the train does well.

Morning,
Thanks for your question...
My answer is "pleasure is what i offer".
4 people in a station wagon Focus with
A.C compared to bus, i say is different.
Anyway, it's for people who are willing..
Nice day and don't 4get to travel by
train next time...:)

Do you drive like a nut case like many other Poles?
Do you intentionally try to drive faster with foreigners in the car like most taxi drivers to impress them?
Have you had a car accident in the last five years?

I nearly always go via Mitfahrgelegenheit to and from Wrocław and Berlin. It tends to cost between 15 and 20 Euros, and the journeys tend to last about 3.5 hours. Normally it's a good journey.

Plus all the fannying around at the airport, waiting (and the behaviour of Poles at airport gates is stressful to say the least) no liquids or cigarettes etc. The OP is suggesting 4 passengers in a medium sized car! No thanks - I'll stick to the train - at least I can stretch my legs, read a book, use my mobile and have lunch on the way. Plus a cigarette when it stops at the border.

They closed it in 2008 :( Thing is, there was a referendum that passed to keep it open, but the turnout was just under what was needed to make it binding. It's a scandal...

Yup, the Poznan to Wroclaw train seems to stop at every town that has more than two buildings.

there are a few (rail) alternatives to get to berlin from wroclaw.

journey time either direct or via poznan is about the same, if u make the right connections. (about 6hrs)

it should still be 19 euro from poznan though. it had better be !

sorting out a 19 euro trip each-way does have problems with restrictions.

that's hard to understand especially between those two cities. Is it the same between, let's say, Śczecin - Berlin?

Szczecin-Berlin is served by Deutsche Bahn, so there's lots of trains between the two. Usually requires a change of train, though. There's also frequent trains (once every hour, I think?) from Frankfurt (Oder) and Kostrzyn nad Odra - so border towns are well served.

It's not particularly hard to understand why Wroclaw-Berlin is only served by one EuroCity train a day - there's just not enough demand, especially when buses can do the trip quicker and cheaper.

Deutsche Bahn are making plans to enter into the domestic Polish market though - one proposal is for a stopping service between Berlin and Poznan - that would definitely make a lot of money, especially if tickets could be sold for 20 euro walk up between Poznan-Berlin.
