Out of date kielbasa!

I just bought some kielbasa at my local shop... to get home and notice it is dated best before 21st July!!

But, my Polish is so week that I don't stand a chance of trying to get it exchanged at the shop. I could work out how to say "I bought this yesterday"... but then what?
I have an intense Polish course soon, maybe that will help me not break out into a sweat every time I have to try and talk Polish to a stranger.. seriously, that's how bad it is... I can chat with a friend in basic Polish but lock up with strangers.

So, is it safe to eat 2 weeks out of date or just throw it away?

Tony

Take it back with your receipt. Do you have a Polish friend you can take with you?

I probably wouldn't eat it...

no receipt, it's just a tiny local shop. I have Polish friends but I doubt they will cross from the other side of Krakow just for a kielbasa... besides, we're all one a very intense training course and nobody will have time.

Will be easier to learn from the mistake and carry on the study that I'm doing :(

Well, if you don't have time to take it back, that's one thing so yes, learn from your mistakes :)

And always get a receipt!

I'll have to look up the word for receipt... again, I'm so busy on my CELTA course that it's less hassle to just forget about this one and move on... it's not a big deal, but it was 13zl that I couldn't afford to lose.

thanks again :)
