how wd you best communicate this concept in Polish?

(and for any uncertain of its meaning ... it is applied to a man who does pretty much whatever his woman says, meekly and without complaint, because he doesn't want to be out in the cold)

In Polish this is a Pantoflarz (pronounced pan-toe-flarj) and yes most Polish men are like this (look at my treads to see my post on this)

doormat?, doesn't quite have the same ring to it as p. whipped. Surely there is some other expression? It is starred out in your thread...

Thanks, I didn't look it up, just guessing..
my dictionary says pantoflarz:-
"hen-pecked husband" (this polite version!)
I thought maybe it was doormat derived from pantofle (dress shoes).

The dictionary has to be polite of course. I am pretty sure as I speak Polish pretty well but maybe better off asking a real Pole to get confirmation

When is ever a Polish man in control over a bloody Polish woman? In Poland men seem to be scared stiff of women!

I'm afraid there's no stronger version of 'pantoflarz' in Polish... You can always say 'jebany pantoflarz' if you want to insult someone (a f**ing hen-pecked husband).

thank you all! so it would seem that the particular image of pussy-whipped just doesn't occur in Polish ... can't someone coin a new word or compound in Polish? why not? let's add to the language ; )
