I am sure that you will find a lot of Polish people in Pittsburg. Most of the old immigrants have died off, but there are a lot of 1st generation Poles around that still speak Polish. There are also a lot of Polish Clubs around. You will not be disappointed.

Used to be a neighbourhood (maybe still is) caleld Polish Hill with all the typically Polonian attruibutes - chruch, parochial school, Polish-flavoured shops, etc. Dunno if it's still a very Polish area or not. The Polish Falcons organisation headquartered in the Burgh should be able to point you in the right direction. Powodzenia!

well i'm in eastern Pennsylvania so i wouldn't know, i don't think there are many new arrivals from Poland in Pittsburgh mostly Polish Americans, like Dan Marino who's half Polish :) .

Try the S&D Polish Deli on Penn Avenue in the Strip. In my experience, people are always looking for a taste of home and they have many imports from Poland. They also feature posters for upcoming Polish events. And the owners speak Polish. Welcome to Pittsburgh!

Well, there isn't a lot of immigration from Poland to Pittsburgh today, but there are lots of Pittsburghers who have Polish roots - like my family.

Cześć :)

I live in Pittsburgh and am learning the Polish language for about 1.5 years now. I am not Polish myself, but have many friends in Chicago who are and I began learning some words phrases from them. Before too long I found myself learning more, and have a desire to continue learning. I do not have any friends here in Pittsburgh who speak Polish and it would be great to meet some. Send me an email to eoh418@yahoo.com if you would like i would be interested in getting to know the local polish community too.

Pozdrawiam,

Greg

There is Polish church in Polish Hill on Brereton Street where the have service in Polish every Sunday at 9 am.
You may be able to find some Poles like myself there. I moved to Pittsburgh recently from much larger Polish community in Lehigh Valley.
