Hi.
I've been here in Australia since August 2009. I don't know any polish people here so on day to day basis I'm speaking english.
After talking to my mother on Skype today I realised that I'm struggling with polish now... I'm missing words and I'm applying english grammar rules in sentences in polish.
I don't want to loose the ability to talk in polish.
Thats why I think that if I'll meet up with someone once a week for a coffee to talk (in polish) will help me to preserve my ability to speak polish.
If you would like to help me please leave a message here and I'll send you a private message or just send me one.
Thanks.

You are struggling with your mother tongue after a few months spent abroad????
Give me a break!

I'm serious.
Before I came here I've been living in England for 4 years.
So it's NOT "a few months" as you can see.

It's the only time a lot of them get to feel "big".

I knew lots of Poles who went to work or live in Australia..there have to be some expat groups you can connect with.

google melbourne and polish and im sure you will come across something.

i know there is a gadu gadu polish melbourne website but the people there seem a bit older than even me.

you just gotta be proactive, much like the job search.

the only thing loaded in your pocket is your wee willy, and even that is shooting blanks.
