Anyone else from Kraków on their own over Easter weekend? This town turns into a ghost town, doesn't it?

I'm also alone the whole easter weekend. I just moved to Krakow and my family will arrive on Monday. I'm going to eat smt in old town today and tomorrow. Most probably will also have a beer or two...

I guess many places turn into ghost towns. People go into hibernation and I saw virtually nobody on my way to work earlier. I won't be alone, though. My brother-in-law will be having a major celebration on Sunday and a veritable feast will be laid on.

Polish people certainly know how to provide a wealth of food&drink options at the table.

WOW, 2 posts after my post in 3 minutes. I just registered and see that this forum is very active. I hate to eat alone so send privat message if you're interested in company today or tomorrow evening.

Thank you Sweets, and to you too! And to all PFs members as well!

Yeah, Easter, as well as Christmas, is family/church/home time in Polska.

Seanus:I won't be alone, though.

Neither will I - am going home tomorrow :)

Thank God Lent's over soon. My aunt is having a huge party on Monday. Can't wait for rosół, rolada ¶l±ska, kluski, kapusta zasmażana, barsz z uszkami, tatar, zimna płyta, ciasta, torty, wódkę, piwo etc.

:)

not in my case.. it's just a free of work period of time when you can meet some of your friends, pub's not a nessecity really, a small park with clean benches and a bottle of booze..;)

now let me get my hands on a piece of sernik..

it's different kinds of cheese, charcuterie, ryba or ozorki or mięso w galarecie and other things, that go with bread. It's served for dinner.
