I never understood what's so fascinating about having a penpal. It's just words on the screen. You might want to try going to some sort of a club. I've heard there's one in Kraków very close to Rynek that organises English speaking meetings for foreigners AND Poles. Never been there as I don't yet live in Kraków but I sure am going to give it a try as soon as I move. After all, anything is better than exchanging emails with someone almost fictional.

@anna.alicja If he's in Brighton it's pretty difficult to go to a club in Krakow, isn't it. ;) And having a penpal in a different part of the world can be fascinating since you can learn something about other cultures. No book or holiday can give you so much insight.

You've got a point there, my mistake. Thought Matt was currently IN Kraków. Now as I read it again it makes perfect sense.
