It was just a thought....i live not so far from Kolobrzeg , would not mind going to this festival , and i have transport , but it might be a bit of a squeeze with six people in it...

My Polish is not that clever , but i can get by , and i know my way around that area...

Yes , food and beer is quite cheap by UK standards , and some Polish girls will find you quite interesting if they know you are from the Emerald isle...

Many are now learning English at school , so among those of a certain age you will find those that speak English....

You will have a great time over here , and after a few beers you will be able to understand Polish perfectly....Just be aware..Poland can get into your blood...I passed through the place some years back , fell in love with the place......and now i live here...!

Well..i was born in Scarborough in Yorkshire , but if you go back a few generations there is more than a bit of the Irish in our family...I love Irish folk music , Christie more being a favourite , and i spent a little time in Ireland racing motorcycles , yer mon Joey dunlop was a friend of mine , and its him that led me into taking aid to kids in eastern Europe , as he had done , so i guess its down to him i am now living in Poland...

I must confess the idea of spending some time with a Bunch of Irish and a few beers would appeal to me...Some of my best memories in the isle of man was partying with a gang of nutters from Dublin...boy..those were some good times...

I would be happy to come and share the craic with you at the festival , and if there is anything i can help you with...just give me a shout....

You mean the lost boys...a group of Irish bikers that followed Joey ,s route to Estonia , delivered aid to a childrens home , and then laid a wreath at the track where Joey died during a race there...Yes i saw that programme , but i was not involved in it...I wish i could have been..

I regret that I didn't go to the Open'er Festival in Gdynia, very good combination with the beaches of Trójmiasto.

I should do it automatically, but have a look in settings...or if you're using Firefox then do a search for a translator plugin, install it and bingo next time you load it it'll work....or try Opera...stay away form Internet Explorer though, that;s for cavemen

You'll be grand. The place will be full of people your age who speak fluent English. Just plan your journey well in advance. Gdansk is a cool city to go out for a few in, small and easy to get around. Google translate a few key phrases and print them i.e. "from what platform does train X depart" etc. The middle aged people speak F.A. English. The staff in your hostel should be well able to advise you.

If it's hot prepare to drool!
