=catsoldier]A guy is a male.

So why our British Literature lecturer, Prof. Higgins, used to address us as: Guys, today I am going to tell you ........ etc.

And there were more females in the class than males?
At the Jagiellonian University in Krakow?
In 1980s?

I remember my American gf pointing at the fish tank and saying "Hey,look at these guys!"(there were some weird looking fish in the tank).

I am in Ireland. I can't go because I have to work, such is life, :-(

how much is 190 euro in polish currency and is it enough to live on in Poland and travel around on for a few months?

It depends on the exchange rate, google says 1 Euro = 4.16708836 Polish zloty today.

It isn't enough to live on. The cost of living in Poland isn't very cheap. You will need a job in Poland to stay for a few months.

Have you booked any accomodation?

Where are you interested in going?

Check out the train prices here:

I don't know if there is anywhere you can live for a few months with this much money, maybe India? Definitely not Poland though.

What ???!!! Learn the most difficult language in the world? I think not - I know only 'Czest' (sp?) and Rossomak which a Polish friend calls his car (beast?) am on Youtube picking up a few phrases like 'where is the train station' and 'how much for a bed' etc lol ....phew it's tough going! It only deepens my admiration for emigrants who come here with little or no English and set up a new life for themselves...

Try your local library, they may have a few booklets and CDs, I have seen many languages to learn including Polish in the library.

Thanks Catsoldier for your considered help on this matter re library but to be honest the only way to learn a language is through conversation - for me anyway :-) unless of course one is considering a degree in said language then of course the library would be the way to go ....

Your welcome.

It was more a beginner/tourist CD/audio book with a booklet. How to meet and greet etc. Not degree stuff.

Not degree stuff.

Exactly my point - conversational skills are all I need...
