Well, if you want to talk to me, I'm also a girl ...and an English language teacher ...and I need someone to help me with Polish (total beginner by they way), so you'd be doing me a favour too!

Well, here you have some basic things to write for a while;

Witamy - Welcome. Witaj - Hello. Dzień dobry! - Good morning, good day. Cześć! - Hi, hello! Jak leci? - What's up? Jak się masz? - How's life? How's it going? Po co? - What for? Dlaczego? - Why? Oto Dlaczego - That's why. This is why. Osioł - Donkey. Głupi! - Dumbass! Gdzie mieszkam? - Where do you live? Proszę - Please. There you go. Bardzo proszę - Thank you very much. Nie ma sprawy - No problem. Nie ma za co - You're welcome. Ile masz lat? - How old are you? Mam 200 lat. - I'm 200 years old. To jest smieszne! - This is funny! Ile to kostuje? - How much does it cost? Nie rozumiem. - I don't understand. Zobaczenia do jutra! Do jutra! - See you tomorrow! Do widzenia! - Bye! Goodbye. Dobranoc - Good night. Dobry wieczór - Good evening. Przepraszam - Sorry. Excuse me. Na zdrowie! - Cheers!

Anyway, have fun and good luck!

:)

Alright! Well, I've got some more simple phrases for you to toy with then.. (I'm sorry if it seems a bit random, I'm just writing down what springs to mind!)

Smacznego - Bon apetit! Co słychać? - How are you? Dzisiaj - Today. Jutro - Tomorrow. Wczoraj - Yesterday. Kto mówi? - Who am I talking to? Jaki masz hobby? - What's your hobby? Jaki masz zowód? - What's your job? Po ile to jest? - How much is it? How much is this. Nie wiem - I don't know. Wszystko dobrze? - Are you alright? Jesteś wspaniały! - You're great! Mój chłopak - My Boyfriend. Moja dziewczyna - My girlfriend. Mój brat - My brother. Moja siostra - My sister. Czy mówię po Angielsku? - Do you speak English? Która godzina? - What time is it? Miło mi - Pleased to meet you. Bardzo mi miło - Very pleased to meet you. Miło Cię widzieć - It's nice to see you. Czuję się wspaniale - I feel great. Dziękuję z gory - Thanks in advance. Mogę Cię pocałować? - May I kiss you? Nawet nie próbuj - Don't even try. Boli mnie głowa - I've got a headache. Oh, and ofcourse: Kocham Cię - I love you. (It's very important to know this one!)

xD

A J:
Bardzo proszę - Thank you very much.

Dziękuję bardzo - Thank you very much. Proszę bardzo - My pleasure.

;)

I guess I've had one drink too many that evening?

frd:
See you tomorrow! is " Do zobaczenia jutro!" :)

Well, everybody I know says do jutra. (Or is that because they're women?)

:)

Just let me know if you have special requests, and I'll see what I can come up with? My Polish is pretty basic though, so don't expect too much!

:)

I hope you know what you've gotten yourself into!

As you've probably already noticed, do jutra is a short version of do zobaczenia jutro. So both are correct.

It has nothing to do with fem/masc forms. But males usually don't say do zobaczenia to each other.

More popular these days is na razie. Meaning the same as do zobaczenia.

All of the above are for informal situations.

With people you don't know, do widzenia, is almost always used.

Zobaczenia do jutra!

Do jutra! Is OK A J.
I was talking about "Zobaczenia" nobody says "Zobaczenia" you can say "Do zobaczenia!" but not just "Zobaczenia", I though you've made a typo or an error hence I corrected it and the closest correct thing that would look like "Zobaczenia do jutra!" would be "Do zobaczenia jutro!" - it's actually used by other people :)

Oh come on, it is so cool to say "NARAAA ZIĄ, DO ZOBA, POZDRO 600" ;) a good pick up line too

Nara sounds like a 14-year-old who has just listened to hip-hop non-stop for 72 hours.

Nie rozumiem. - I don't understand. Zobaczenia do jutra! Do jutra! - See you tomorrow!

A J again do I really need to quote that for the third time?
Now let's focus on the mistake..
You wrote:
Zobaczenia do jutra! <- this is wrong

Hence I corrected it to "Do zobaczenia jutro!" because it is the closest thing to what you incorrectly wrote...

:P

Thanks, this is all good to know :)

Except I might have to avoid a Polish boyfriend as I currently find that word very difficult to pronounce well :p

shush:
Do jutra, do zobaczenia jutro, nara, narka, narazie, hej, pa,

Is there anything else in the above that I should avoid saying/writing?
(as I don't want to sound like the English equiv of a chav, if that's what you mean by not liking 'nara' :)
