If any one can give me any hints and tips or their opinion about any Italian products...italian shoes, italian clothes, italian electronics... then please do!

Thanks

italian shoes - stylish and fashionable
italian clothes - the same
italian electronics (maby more AGD stuff - fidge, oven, etc - I don't anybody here buys Italian computers...) - well designed, cheap but not good quality
italian cars - well designed, stylish but with a lot of failures (you can be advised to buy an italian car as a new car and then sell it when varrianity expires, but nobody will advise you to by used italian car)
italian furniture - stylish, well designed, expensive...

General engineering also has a pretty good reputation too... but then again, I'm not Polish, so I not sure if the OP is canvassing my opinion. I understand that the 80% of the world's O-ring seals (you know those little rubber rings that you get when you take your shower to pieces) are manufactured in Bergamo, Italy.

And agree re fashion - in particular, Emilio Pucci... iconic designs <swoon>

I'm with you on that one.

Furniture: good design and proportions but ridiculously overpriced

Machinery: no, thank you

Shoes: good for warm climate but useless in harder ones

Yeah pity it will be reliable and well engineered now :P

The Germans ARE the ones you want building the thing that hurtles you down the road at speeds fit to kill you.

Always wanted a Moto Guzzi - Oldest motocycle maker in Europe. Very distinctive sound.

Yes i forgot about the Guzzi...nice machine...never owned one tho....My first Italian bike was a Garreli...50cc , very fast , but skinny tyres that were useless in the wet....Later i had a Ducati darmah , another great bike with fantastic handling , the italian electrics were a problem in the rain tho...I believe they now use Jap electics...

Ducati

Yes I heard that about Ducati too.. they handle very well but are dicey in a few areas. They do have nice designs though and always stand apart from Jap bikes.

My purchases of Made in Italy products don't require such lavish budgets.

These go through hardwood like hot knife through butter, especially ones with thin kerf:

Italians make good router bits too:

Pizza and pasta are my favorite choices of Italian products. A bottle of Amarone to complement it. :)

Sorry, don't care for the shoes. Pretty, but not comfortable...and the cars, quite lovely, but can't afford one.

Also, I prefer Greek olive oil to Italian one.

Heya, beckski. I think, Italian gold is mostly 18kt.
It's the Russian which is 14kt. I wear a ring made in Russia, 14kt, which I bought when still in Poland. It looks very different and gets everybody's attention here.

Do you work for them?, that would explain your knowledge in an 'o-ring things', not normally known for a woman :)

Other way round. Vespa are still made in Europe but in India there is a company ( I think ) called LML who make retro styled scooters that look like Lambrettas for about half the price.
I cant believe how cheap some of the scooters are, on the road for just over £500 !

Pasta, Pinot Grigio, some Ferraris, Sophia Loren, Venetian water taxis and cappacino are all good.
