lol.. you know, i sure can't recall ever having a bad date.. and i really love blind dates too.. i never have any expectations.. just FUN! hehehe

idk, i do some pretty damn stupid things sometimes, as a few of you know :)

whether or not - you are a clever, talented guy. You learnt Russian and play bass guitar awesomely (as two examples of my claim lol)- and are completely modest!

maybe so, but i think last weekend proved how stupid i can be.

hmm...the excitement before, good food, the flutter of realisation that you like each other, that you're getting on. Good conversation, then ending the evening with the anticipation that there will be so much more to come... :)

when we went to McD's, skipping school. It was cold and we were holding hands going along, just because that's something we did. We never skipped a beat of conversation; so the perfect closeness between us was. We laughed the entire way, commenting on how our faces were actually sore from the laughter.

We had our food and took our time, because we had no plans on going back to school; we only began to head back near home time when we'd go back and pretend to our parents we'd just got home from school.

On the way, we randomly sat beneath some little tree, spread out over the pathway, and so began a conversation about things which were important to us. It was easy to say these personal things: we knew each other so well.

And it then began to snow. We swore it looked pink (I can't remember why) as if 'millions' (the little chewy sweets) were falling from the sky. We walked back in mixed laughter and seriousness.

I always walked down after school with him and left him near the burn; half-way between our homes. I did it this time, and I really didn't want to say good-bye./ We were standing for ages, saying it was time to go and then finding something else to laugh over that meant we stood even longer. He looked so cute with his face flushed pink with the cold, snowflakes rested in his hair. I wasn't even bothered by the straggled mess mine had probably become, nor that I only had a thin blazor as a jacket to keep me from freezing - I was too lit by the fun we were having.

It's not like we hadn't skipped class to go there before, nor walked down alone together before; this time just seemed perfect. We hugged for what must have been the fiftieth time and said bye, me walking home with the biggest grin.

I'll never forget it: but I must point out...

It wasn't actually a date. He was only my best friend, and it's all we ever were. Still it was perfect to me.

I wish life were like Puppy love. Maybe it will be yet, I don't know. So far I don't feel it :(

You say that's all we ever "were" - I don't want to bring up pain please tell me to shh, but why Were not Are?

Don't you think that everything was so great where we were younger....? so fresh, innocent...we'll never forget it.... and now, with experience goes disappointment sometimes.... and it's never the same as was before because we know too much...

we haven't seen each other much since leaving school at all. I know we won't be at the stage ever where I will say 'I won't ever be in his life again' - because I know we still have that opinon open to us.

I guess it just happens that way - drifting apart from some people whe you leave school/certain places like that. We have very little contact at all - and yet I know if we meet we will act as ever.

I guess it's just moving on with life. I learned a LOT (that I didn't want to) with our friendship about the human capacity to move on.

It's still not the lst chapter though. Wow rather sentimental tonight lol!!
