Photographs of Poland Eastern Europe from 1945 to 1990

Hi all!!

My name is anthony haworth and i live in preston in the UK. Im a graduate of the University of Central Lancashire and im currently starting my own personal study. I am trying to build a history of Eastern Europe during Communism through the photographs of the people who lived through it. I beleive that there is alot we could learn from the pictures of ordinary people. The study is an attempt to compose a wide social history that (hopefully) would differ in perspective from the text book history of the period.

What i am looking for is any photographs taken from 1945 to 1990, of anything, for example holidays, work, celebrations , protests, sport events.... And will except any format you could give them in.

Please could anybody help me with this at all?

No. I found them using google, but I have a book that I got from the Citadel in poznan that explains all of this in detail. I'll try to post some information for you when i have a spare min.

thanks Zgubiony, those are really good pics, i think the one where people are scattering is very interesting, it also reminds me of a photo taken by the famous photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, the way that the figures are slightly blurred!!
