So my friend bought me the Feel cd from Poland and I really love the angel song!
He tried to tell me what it's about but the meaning gets lost in translation and I was hoping maybe someone here can translate for me?
Thanks!

Jak anioła głos,
Usłyszałem ją.
Powiedziała patrz…
Tak, to On.

Na rozstaju dróg,
Stoi dobry Bóg,
On wskaże Ci drogę…

Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój,
Widzę miejsca w których byłem,
Widzę ludzi tłum.

Już pod koniec dnia,
Pustej szklanki dźwięk,
To chyba sen!

No, no, no...

Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój.
W pustej szklance,
Pomarańczę,
To dobytek mój.

Już pod koniec dnia,
Pustej szklanki dźwięk,
To chyba sen!

Jak anioła głos,
Usłyszałem ją.
Powiedziała patrz…
Tak, to On.

Na rozstaju dróg,
Stoi dobry Bóg,
On wskaże Ci drogę…

Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój,
Widzę usta, w których
Nieraz swój, Topiłem ból.

Już pod koniec dnia,
Słyszę cichy szept!
To chyba sen!
No, no, no…

Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój!
Widzę dłonie,
Czuję serce,
To ideał mój.

Już pod koniec dnia,
Lecz nie sam,
Lecz nie sam.

Jak anioła głos,
Usłyszałem ją.
Powiedziała patrz…
Tak, to On.

Na rozstaju dróg,
Stoi dobry Bóg,
On wskaże Ci drogę

Jak anioła głos,
Usłyszałem ją.
Powiedziała patrz…
Tak, to On.

Na rozstaju dróg,
Stoi dobry Bóg,
On wskaże Ci drogę

You can summarise the lyrics using just one word: nonsense.
:/
My favourite part:

Solan:
W pustej szklance,
Pomarańczę,

An orange in an empty glass.
Haha... how logical, how can a glass be empty if there's an orange in it? :/

Solan:
Jak anioła głos,
Usłyszałem ją.
Powiedziała patrz…
Tak, to On.

Like an angels voice, i heard her. She said "look...". Yes, it is Him.
Solan:
Na rozstaju dróg,
Stoi dobry Bóg,
On wskaże Ci drogę…

Where the ways part, stands the Good God, He will show you the way...
Solan:
Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój,
Widzę miejsca w których byłem,
Widzę ludzi tłum

At the days end, i see the image of you, i see places i've been to, i see a crowd of people
Solan:
Już pod koniec dnia,
Pustej szklanki dźwięk,
To chyba sen!

At the days end, a sound of an empty glass, maybe this is a dream!
Solan:
Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój.
W pustej szklance,
Pomarańczę,
To dobytek mój.

At the days end, i see the image of you. In an empty glass, an orange. These are [all] my belongings.
Solan:
Jak anioła głos,
Usłyszałem ją.
Powiedziała patrz…
Tak, to On.

Like an angels voice, i heard her. She said "look..." Yes, it is Him.
Solan:
Na rozstaju dróg,

Where the ways part, stands the Good God, he will show you the way...
Solan:
Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój,
Widzę usta, w których
Nieraz swój, Topiłem ból.

At the days end, i see the image of you, i see the lips, where i have often drowned my sorrow.
Solan:
Już pod koniec dnia,
Słyszę cichy szept!
To chyba sen!
No, no, no…

At the days end, i hear a silent whisper! This might be a dream! No, no, no...
Solan:
Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój!
Widzę dłonie,
Czuję serce,
To ideał mój.

At the days end, i see the image of you! I see hands, i feel the heart, this is perfection to me.
Solan:
Już pod koniec dnia,
Lecz nie sam,
Lecz nie sam.

At the days end, but not alone, but not alone.
Solan:
Jak anioła głos,
Usłyszałem ją.
Powiedziała patrz…
Tak, to On.

Na rozstaju dróg,
Stoi dobry Bóg,
On wskaże Ci drogę............

I find the lyrics to this song one of the best in the recent years. My interpretation is very simple. He just split up with his girlfriend or rather his girlfriend split up with him. In the evening he is reflecting on his life and thinking about her, he pictures her in his mind, imagines her voice and hears her soft whisper. He’s confused his thoughts chaotic. In his dazed state of mind he sees her coming back to him because good God will show her the way back to him. Just like his state of mind so are the lyrics to the song, they are chaotic, confusing and seemingly without any order, but perfectly in sync with his feelings and irrational thinking.

Jova:
An orange in an empty glass.
Haha... how logical, how can a glass be empty if there's an orange in it? :/

Read the words carefully, you will see it’s logical.

Solan:
Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój.
W pustej szklance,
Pomarańczę,
To dobytek mój.

Już pod koniec dnia,
Widzę obraz Twój.
"At the end of the day (In the evening),
I picture you". Here he states that he (imagines her) pictures her in his mind. (He's not looking at her, her photograph or her portrait).
W pustej szklance, "In an empty glass", (there's a comma there meaning he still imagines something). Pomarańczę, "Orange",
He imagines an orange in an empty glass (another comma there continuing his thoughts).
To dobytek mój. "That’s my wealth". Like an orange that he imagined in an empty glass which is worthless so is his accomplishment in his life so far worthless.

In this part of the lyrics he’s reflecting back on his life. He sees himself worthless.

I think this song was taken from the random thread on PF?
There are loads of songs I like that I have not got the foggiest what they mean or I project what I think the meaning is and that changes. It is disheartening when the song is worse than I thought or more than not, not as good as I thought.

I love a very old group called "Stary Dobry Malzenstwo" and my husband who is from Poland can't translate the lyrics either as most of them don't make a lot of sense when "just translated" but have implicative meaning. I love their music. It's mostly ballads. Great for daydreaming or reflecting.

I'm learning Polish (very difficult since it'll be my 4th language). A friend told me about this band, Feel, and I got hooked! "Jak Anioła Głos" was the first song I heard, then "Pokaż Na Co Cie Stać". Awesome band!

Anyway, I hear common words that are repeated in every song from every Polish band and I believe if I continue to listen to Polish music, I will be able to build my vocabulary.

Thanks for posting this thread!
