Points on Polish driving licenses

if you're convicted of a motoring offense in the uk the courts can fine you and endorse your driving license with penalty points - the number of points is reflected by the severity of the offense.

in the uk, if you build up 12 or more penalty points within a period of three years, you'll be liable to be disqualified under the 'totting-up' system. any endorsements you have must stay on your driving license for four or eleven years, again depending on the offense

i have been told that in poland the number of points you can accrue on your license is double the uk - 24 - and that these are cleared every 12 months

That's correct - even though driver license could be suspended with either 20 or 24 points (20 points - for drivers who had over 20 points within the first year of getting the license). I think I will bring by VW to Poland and rack up some points and then go home! This could be an international competition to see who gets the most pints from the most countries! Hmmm the game shall begin!
