Polish-German alliance.

More procreational power would be needed ;-)

We can't outbreed them. And there are only so many people the Earth can bear.
Shrinking populations means also more space, better environments...there is nothing wrong with that. The age gap is the real problem and we need some firmer laws against immigration - "Festung Europe" anybody?

On the captain's bridge of Un-holy Empire. ;)

Och...it will be cool, you will see! :)
Fat citizens, prosperous, peacy...flourishing!

When Poles and Germans invaded the Czech Republic in '68? :)

Thanks. Wow. I haven't realized Ossie-Komuch relations will be the answer.

However, you can add in this category:
- STASI-SB co-operation in bugging and listening in on Solidarity activists in 80s
- supporting, training and arming (you can add here comrades from Ceskoslovensko) Carlos and some more freedom fighters of his sort (capitalist mendacious chauvinists call them terrorists)

But something earlier?

But something earlier?

How about a millennia of Germans wandering East and Poles wandering West?

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Poland#Prehistory_and_protohistory

....
n the aftermath of Mieszko's 967 victory over a force of the Wolinians led by Wichmann the first missionary bishop was appointed, which counteracted the intended eastern expansion of the Magdeburg Archdiocese, established at about the same time.[12]
Mieszko's state had a complex political relationship with the German Holy Roman Empire, as Mieszko was a "friend", ally and vassal of Otto I

An alliance? Kind of?

....
When fighting the Czechs in 990, Mieszko was helped by the Holy Roman Empire.

Sure!

....
After a power struggle, Bolesław III the Wrymouth (ruled 1102-1138) became the Duke of Poland by defeating his half-brother in 1106-1107. Zbigniew had to leave the country, but received support from Emperor Henry V, who attacked Bolesław's Poland in 1109.

Another alliance...kind of....

...
The civil strife and foreign invasions, such as the Mongol invasions in 1241, 1259 and 1287, weakened and depopulated the many small Polish principalities, as the country became progressively more split.
The German, Polish and other new rural settlements were a form of feudal tenancy with immunity and German town laws were often utilized as its legal bases.
The German immigrants were also important in the rise of the cities and the establishment of the Polish burgher (city dwelling merchants) class; they brought with them West European laws (Magdeburg rights) and customs which the Poles adopted. From that time on the Germans, who created early strong establishments (led by the patriciate) especially in the urban centers of Silesia and other regions of western Poland....

....
In 1226 Konrad I of Masovia invited the Teutonic Knights to help him fight the Prussian people, who lived in a territory adjacent to his lands; substantial border warfare was taking place and Konrad's province had suffered from Prussian invasions.

Definitely an alliance...;)

Actually, after the wars against Teutonic knights until the first partition
of Poland, the Polish-German relations were quite decent and the western
border of Rzeczpospolita was the most peaceful border in Europe (however
the Teutonic wars had very negative imapact on the reception of "Germans"
in Poland).

Then of course came the partitions, but the decisive factor in Polish-German
relations is (and will still be in foreseeable future) the mass-lunacy and murderous
rage that possesed Germans during WW2.

That's the reason why we can, of course, talk about the alliance of Polish and German
states (military alliance - we're both in NATO and economic/political alliance - we're
both part of EU) but a lot of water will flow in Wisła and Rhein before we will be able
to talk about the alliance of two nations.

Old nation state/last century thinking Torq. We are living this alliance already!
And the next generation is growing up already in a border less European Union of unrestricted movement, study and work.
I don't think they will care overly for long gone history..

"Give it 15, 20 or 25 years, and Europe will be run by leaders with a completely different socialization from those of today," he added. "I'm quite optimistic that in the future there will be less national wrangling, less Brussels-bashing and more unity in EU policy making - even if that is hard to picture today."

They should give professor Wolff the Optimist of the Year award ;)

Anyway - one of my friends from highschool went to study in Germany as a part of Erasmus
project, graduated in computer science and currently lives and works there. The boys used
to give him a lot of hard time because of that, for he was the most ardently anti-German
of all of us and now he says that Germans are "not too bad" so that's a progress! :)

"For the first time in history, we're seeing the seeds of a truly European identity," Wolff said.

That is complete bull****.
In 25 years Europe will be run by mullahs, and the irony is that the once German nation is likely to die sooner than Poles they wanted to exterminate.

Tell ya what, z_darius - if in 25 years from now Europe is ruled by mullahs I will send you
a dozen bottles of best Polish vodka (I'll get them somehow, even uder mullahs rule).
If it isn't run by mullahs - you will send me... I don't know, whatever you Canadians drink
in Canada.

OK?

Well, as long as this now studying and learning future elite isn't mainly called Mohammed or Fatima I seriously doubt it!

Why so defeatist Dariusz? That is so not polish!!! ;)

If they get to occupy Poland I BET they will leave Europe for good (or Poland at least) LOL

and ofc to the topic!
I dearly hope German-Polish relations will improve just like under Vienna we will be brothers in arms again!

That is a possibility but only because Poles always do exactly the opposite of what they are told.

Well, as long as this now studying and learning future elite isn't mainly called Mohammed or Fatima I seriously doubt it!

It's not about smart vs. stupid. It's about old vs young, about passive vs. active and about suicidal numbness vs. vigor. Islam in EU has the young, the active and the vigorous. Europeans stopped breeding so it's not even a question of any open conflicts. Europeans are dying out. Look at these numbers:

(children per family)
France 1.8
England 1.6
Greece 1.3
Germany 1.3
Italy 1.2
Spain 1.1

Muslims in France 8.1

Note that the figure of 1.3 is considered a point of no return, i.e. the nation is a dead man walking.

So that Polish-German alliance might have been a good idea but it;s kinda late. Poland's fertility rate is also leading toward the extinction of the nation.

The smart people are dying out.

If they would let it happen they wouldn't be so smart at all! Have a little more trust in the resilience of your own people goddammit!

Less people means concentration of wealth and less burden on the infrastructure, sounds like a win win...

Then Germans aren't all that smart after all.

What's your alternative? Throwing babies at the islamists????

My people will die out too, but yours will go first.

Of course we will win this competition too!

Less people means concentration of wealth and less burden on the infrastructure, sounds like a win win...

Especially if Dariusz plan consists of nothing but more babies...he didn't think this through...that's what I call "not so smart"!

Once we have a breeding rate like they have in the third world Europe will start to look like it...

z_darius

I doubt if that video is based on some realistic research.

But I believe it is true that Europe has problems with birth rates. It is interesting subject what is the reason for that ? It is really because old people is the majority in population or more about lifestyle ?
