Hi, I've seen some threads on here asking about polish films with english subtitles, but does anyone know where I could buy english films with polish subtitles? or if not just some websites where i could buy polish dvds. I've found a few, but surely there must be a wider range? Much appreciated.

Ive got bloody tonnes of them, mostly bought from Auchen and Tesco's in Wroclaw. I dont want the subtitles so i simply turn them off, many have lectors too and you can usually turn that off unless its hardcoded or VCD.

If youre not in Poland check out www.tesco.pl, perhaps you can order them there.

I bought only one by mistake "Jack Knife" you can imagine my dissapointment when i got home and tried watching with that annoying monotone voice over everything. Just read the back its all there. Most VCD's have lektors which you cant turn off.

Hi All,

I have a question regarding the bleeding monotone voice-over. We have cable tv & I'm wondering whether it is possible to get rid of the voice-over whilst watching programes?

I'm assuming that you're using Inea as you're in Poznan. If so, and you're using a digital (not analogue!) receiver - then yes, you can, but only on precious few channels. The Discovery channels are the main ones, but there's a couple of others that I can't recall off the top of my head - Eurosport is one, I think?

This depends on how many audio tracks the channel has made available for the Cable/satellite company. Take comedy central for example. The lektor cannot be turned off nor on the discovery channel because both those stations only broadcast one audio track. Nat geo and the film channels send 2 audio tracks, with and without lektor so it can be switched off. It does not depend on cable/sattelite provider but on the channel and what they decide to broadcast.
