Renault (registered in Poland)

I have an interesting proposition for you if you need a car or want to make some quick money (and visit Nice to boot!).

We bought our 2004 Renault Thalia from a dealer in Gdynia last May - it it registered in Poland and the insurance is valid until May 4th, 2011.
We are currently wintering in Nice, France and since we will be going back to the States in March, we are trying to sell our car here. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. The French bureaucracy has us beat again - it takes 2 months and about 1000euros for a Frenchman to transfer the registration from a foreign one to French.

Instead of us driving back to Poland and selling the car there for about PLN 14k (check out the prices yourself - it is a cream puff, with air conditioning, 67000 kms and new tires!), we are proposing this:

you fly to Nice, France (LOT direct flight from Warsaw - 175 euros)
you can defrost in our place for a day or two (gratis) ;-)
you buy our car for PLN 10K
you drive it back to Poland (around 214 euros in gas and tolls according to viamichelin.fr)

You can then re-sell the car or keep it.
