Hi all,

I am an English guy getting married to a Polish girl next July (2011) and looking forward to the wedding though also scarred. I am trying to find a website with links to wedding bands in the Wisla area or willing to travel.

I would like the band to play lots of instruments guitar, drums, keyboard saxaphone etc. I would also like them to be quite large having 5 or more members Plus sing and sound good.

My future wife is looking after the rest of the plans and I thought id try and sort out the band but I am not having much luck.

any information greatly appreciated

Thanks

Mr Craig:
Wisla

Adam Małysz (I guess you know who it is) was born in Wisła. He sang in a Polish Disco Polo band many years ago. Typical wedding music. Call him. ;)

from what i've seen it is usually keyboard plus guitar. sometimes a trio.

the leader of the group is also the person who sets the theme for traditional wedding day games.

u need a group who are used to playing wedding receptions and not any old group.

Myself and my Partner are not big fans of disco Polo. so we would like more than a small group and a synthesiser. but still having no luck finding anything.

if u are willing to pay u could look for a band with a couple of albums behind them.

or simply phone a few band/music management offices.

I am looking for contact details or web sites if any one knows of any.

its the initial information I am missing I dont know where to start looking

I don't know any Polish band names apart from Wilk and bajm and I think they would be a little too expensive

Hi, Fantasy Band from London is a four men function band (violin, saxophone, keyboard, drums and vocals) loved buy many for their fantastic performances on wedding parties especially Polish, English and mixed european ones and other events. They have extensive repertoire of Polish popular and traditional songs (yes with traditional Polish wedding games :-)), popular and traditional British music but with their art they can take you to any part of the world, any musical era depending on your preferences. They add the music spice to your special event so you and all your guests can thoroughly enjoy. Their ability to play acoustic part (sax, guitar, accordion) for the reception (if required) is very charming and can create really special atmosphere. For the past 18 years they have been playing in Polish Community Centre POSK in Hammersmith, London and they are always happy for anyone to come and listen to them performing live. Check their website fantasyband.co.uk (with the ws before the site name) and go and see them. You will not regret it. Best regards,
