There will be a coalition PO & LiD no alternative for that...

Apart from a coalition of PO and PSL. And as the PSL are the power-wh0res of Polish politics, they'll be in.

From the figures I see LiD have fallen about 1% short of what they needed. The only way there would be a PO/LiD coalition would be if they could combine to have more than 60% of the votes in parliament and thus over-ride presidential vetoes.

PO and PSL have already agreed coalition terms, according to a PO activist last week!

They won't be able to override presidential veto with PSL (aka power-wh0res) only.

Well, we will see whether PO gain majority, I hope so. The last thing we need is another coalition.

I'm a bit disappointed that UPR is out once again. Looks like only UPR voters voted for our committee while all socialistic voters of LPR switched their support to PiS. This is time to build stronger party structures in the region and wait for our turn. I hope that UPR wont make any coalitions anymore.

Good news is the result of the post-communist left, weaker than I expected. Of course lack of Samoobrona in the next parliament also improves my humor a bit.

Tusk has just Kashubian roots, he doesn't speak their language and is not considered among them as "their man". I know what I'm talking about, because I live in Gdansk.

Actually Muslims fight each other more than our soldiers. So, mess will continue anyway. However I think that we should withdrawn.

I think it is more than sure. Only PiS wanted them to stay ...

What can be interesting, results of this election show the reality we live in Poland. I have seen so many discussions about what LPR wanted to do, or SO. And now they have 1.5 % of votes and it is their end. I wouldnt be surprised seeing Lepper in prison. There will be no our PM in Radio M. What can be interesting PO should try to "eat" LiD in the same way PiS did with LPR & SO. We will have Democrats and Republicans in Poland ;) (there are some differences but it is example).

What can we see in up coming mounths, Poland will be much more european what means we will rather think about our relationsips in europe.
Relations with Germans will be much better, and we will discuss about problems instead talking about nazists.
Economy, so less bureaucracy less complicated regulations, lower taxes, cutings in social benefits.
More open society ...

But it is just my opinion and we will see what will happen ...

Poles living in Poland need to think about the fact why Polonia (Polish immigrants living abroad) in majority voted for PIS. For the last year I know many Poles living in the US who move back to Poland because according to them "the situation has improved there and they have a chance for better living now more than ever before."

The question is who was the father of the recent Polish economic success - it seems PIS did a good job, not PO. I think Poles in Poland should value Polonia's vote in more consideration because Polonia know "both sides of the story" - most of them have lived both in Poland and on immigration. That's why they may have more knowledge and insight of what could be best for Poland in the long run.

they did nothing, that is why smashing majority of business owners voted on PO. Honestly PiS stoped reforms and consumed work of other governments. When you look on achievments of other new EU members in last 2 years, you will notice some facts which dont stick to your reality...

They could look better on TV or in the media, but better relations with Germany equal weaker position of Poland as a negotiator, which in the long run equal more advantages for Germany, not Poland. I'm sure Germany are glad PO won because they have one opponent less to make their plan to monopolize/Germanize the European Union in every aspect they can.

In the US I'm pretty sure PIS clearly won.

I'm pretty surprised to hear Poles have bought the slogan about "setting up a company in a day." Those who have enough skills to do business have opened a company a long time ago; having a company does not guarantee a profit (actually out of 10 companies 8 are out of business within a year).

That's very interesting, and particularly when it comes to Europe and Poland's relations with the other members. I think that relations with Germany will improve too, it'd be so good that old foes Poland and Germany become new and modern friend "forever" :P Both could benefit ;)

I'm not arguing with you on that one. It's just interesting how the result differ between US and UK polonia.
