Economy, so less bureaucracy less complicated regulations, lower taxes, cutings in social benefits.
More open society ...

"cuttings in social benefits" and "More open society"

Cutting social benefits will not make the Polish society "more open"; I can say it will be the opposite, it will make the society mad.

hello.....

To introduce myself, British bloke working in Poland this last 15 years.......
That which you outline is the problem with Poland today - too many on benefits, too few working. For instance, there are men in my block who are 45, very healthy, and retired on 2,000 plus zlotys a month pension.
Their pensions should only be paid if they are working and contributing. Otherwise I'm subsidizing their boozing, and simple economics show that the figures are not going to add up.
Also their are plenty of jobs here in Slask. Bus workers in. Those who refuse the work should have their benefits cut.
So simple in my view.

Sure. Tusk will lick Gerries' ass.

I m sure not, we will just talk about important things for Poland. Honestly I m tired by Kaczysnki policy in EU, because we all pay for our reputation. And some times he was right but he did some things in way I cant accept, I think we could get more profits form EU if we went other way. As to licking sb's ass:

kaczka

and how we are treated by our ally ?

I dont understand why you are so pride by Kaczysnki foregin policy, when our (!!!) experts show we just lost most of our reputation and we pay for it, the same as Americans pay for their mistakes ...

Poland is over.
Hope is over.

Remains a sad post-communist country affected by an outstanding corruption, organized crime and communist 'mafia'. No future down here.

Each year i go to Poland, it's rebuilding, it's new, it's modernizing, and things are not going to stop now. Everything's gonna be okay, don't think a change in politics would affect the economic "explosion" ;)

And this crazy idea that whole Europe is full of our enemies ... and USA and Israel are our best friends ...

Who give us money for our development ? where we can work ... ekhmmm even not work, just visit ?

and of course we call US our grate ally and some EU countries we call ....

so maybe we should start call USA old F**** traitor from Yalta '45. Why not ? Kaczysnki call Germans on EU summit nazists (?!?) (his style is just depressing) You know even he thinks they all are nazists (sic!) he shouldn't tell it on EU summit (!)

We live in Europe, we have a lot of issues to solve but we have to deal with it in different way, of course we have to be assertive but in other way ...

You will see how it should look ...

EU, but also IMF and WB;) - we owe them some, so we have to listen to the "owners" - no?

It's not about the whole Europe, it's mostly about Germany and their monopolistics attempts.

I dont think it will happen, PO isnt stupid and will just negotiate in different way, president of France Sarko has his ambitions too ... UK wants Tony Blair as president of EU ... Merkel is very popular but has forgoten about reforms in her own country ...

I m glad that PO is taking power now ... and we will see ...

Unlike west european countries, Poland with post communist social structure is still more similiar to Russia or Byelarussia (oligarchy originated from former communist authorities + organized crime).

I had a hope for changes leading to a postcommunist countries like Czech Republic (or even Estonia). Now it is over.

The dark side of power wins. All positive changes are terminated.

Poland - the first among postcommunist coutries early nineties became the last one a.d. 2005. As result of aforesaid dark side of power.

A chance appeared 2005, now is over. They are back.

It will be interesting to see how many Poles from the UK will come back to the "Polish version" of Ireland or UK as promised by Tusk.

but true and obvious.

There are two countries in this region where decommunization has not been done: Poland and Byelarussia.

Byelarussia unlike Poland has no aspirations to European Community.

Woe to the nation that succumbed to the power of liberal media. Woe to the nation that voted for a party which in 80% was against a legal protection of human life in The Constitution. Woe to the nation that gets rid of members of Parliament who defend faith and morality giving power to the supporters of abortion, euthanasia and the promotors of pervertion. Woe to the nation that trades it's independence for economic prosperity cooperating with Community which removed God and Christianity from their Constitution. Woe to the nation that doesn't support delegalization of abomination of pornography, occultyzm and satanism which flood the country. Woe to the nation drifting away from God and religion and their Christian roots. Woe to the nation that forgets about the vow to Mary on Jasna Gora.

"Nation which kills their own children is a nation with no future" John Paul II

As far as I know, there is freedom of religion in Poland.
Is anybody really stopping you from practicing your religion?

from what Lukasz says in post 47 it sounds like a very good result for Poland, I hope this is true.

What do you think it will mean for those Polish people living abroad - do you think there will be a large number returning or...?

Selfdefence didn't make it to the parliment. :))

Does that mean Andrzej Lepper loses his immunity to prosecution and off to prison he goes? God I hope so!!! :O)
