Just a bit of curiosity here......

Is/Has Poland ever been considered an individualist or collectivist culture?

Also, do you think people from PL are more reserved than Brits or Americans? Why?

I would say individualist. Looking at sports, Poland has always had great individuals but when team sports, they usually suck.

Fisz,

I don't know american culture but i think that comparing to English we polish are more reseved and more private people. before moving to Uk I thought ( maybe little sterotypical ) that English are cold , reserved.....

Firstly they are very nosey secondly n ot so good at secrets they will and tell you everything from their love details to anything private.

I would say that polish are little stubborn and rather individualists...

I remember I asked you about your roots they are quite mixed.

What nationality would you describe as yours?

I can speak only for myself - I'm an extreme individualist, but when it takes to work collectively, I don't mind.
But in general, I think that we have such a mess in our country because of our selfishness and lack of will to work together (unlike our ancestors, when they rebuilt our land from the rubble after the I W.W.).
