Aha, Germany and Holland are so intelligent that they aren't stepping up to the plate and boycotting or providing vocal support for the War on Terror. I c ur point, NOT!! Let's just be glad that America wasn't in the ratings, LOL.

what we werent saying that supporting war on terror measures intelligance..... how you handle yourself in the political arena does.... if you act childish as Russia it says a lot...

No it isn't!
It may be important for teacher or psycholical scholars but a high score doesn't help with engeneering or inventing...

Russia has made very 'intelligent' and shrewd decisions, being still an ally of the US and engaged in trade with Iran. Russia hasn't attracted the scorn of the international community like America has. Russia has closer ties with those countries with nukes whilst not being all out allies with them. Putin has made Russia strong again. I am a neutral observer so rather impartial. I have no reason to like Russia, oh, maybe bcoz of TATU, LOL

Well, yes it is BB. Engineering skills can be gained from OJT. Emotional Intelligence is a life training. So many books have been written on it

No you can't.
Even with lots of training you can't make an Leonardo da Vinci out of Average Joe...

Don't see them as mutually exclusive BB. Emotional Intel was important in some way for Scottish inventors so the two can be reconciled.

I'm not talking about Michelangelo, I was talking about taking ur Average Joe and training them up through professional guidance. Sorry, research has shown this to be the case. Memory training can be learned by average people and just takes the right mental conditioning and commitment

Which research shows you can make a genius out of an ordinary skilled Joe???
A source please...

That's an interesting article:

You could train with me as long as you want but you would never make an Einstein or a Göthe out of me! :)

so can emotional intel......... probably much easier than memory....

i highly doubt it....... emotional intelligence has nothing to do with engineering... psychologists have great emotional intelligence and yet have no knowledge in engineering...

I didn't say it wasn't. Just that the Average Joe can do it with some shoving and some tuition.

I meant emotional intel in the loose sense. It affects each one of us as humans.

Why stupid in the long term? Haven't u read about szkotja2007's funny film? It's quite comical

I remember how American chess player Bobby Fisher was on wanted list after he decided to play chess game in Milosevic's Serbia. He was even detained in Japan few years later but Iceland saved him from American prison.

You think that voting preferences of intelligent people are not that important? Leader can be intelligent and dishonest and it is up to voters to feel the difference.

No, haven't had the pleasure....

why because all their money comes from oil and gas.... instead of taking that money to develop other industries.... they are using it on their military... 10-20 years, oil wont be the cash cow it is today... much smarter to make your economy less dependant on oil while you can.... that's the economic realm

as far as political realm.... China is getting more powerful by the day, won't be long before Russia will need the west...

Russia has some superb scientists. They are currently researching the same things as we are. Read New Scientist. They want to stay ahead of the game as much as anybody else. Never discount Russia.

Let's not forget that America is also a grateful benefactor from Chinese trade. Russia will not need the west as much as u envisage. Need in what sense?

Empty threat. I doubt they'll skip the Olympics. Unless we have no real chance at gold this year in any event...then we might skip.

Not the Olympics but the Olympic ceremonies.... We are trying to punish China without punishing the athletes in the process.... however the choice is up to the athletes themselves if they want to boycott or not...

Ahh. I see. Now all I have to do is solve the mystery of the missing cat.

Anyone got Sherlock Holmes' number? Tell him a rare melon wearing cat is missing.

If so, I desperately want to be punished in this way, Tusk should leave Poland! You will learn what "punishment" really means when the Chinese answer for this initiative.

So what, Poland is not going to be a coward... and let China do as they please out of fear...... If the USSR didn't scare us, neither will China....

Answer this initiative and answer for this initiative mean 2 very different things lesser. I think u mean the first one where they respond rather than the second one which means to be justify through defending sth.

No...I'm not being sarcastic...it's only logical!
Especially when you think about how Siberia came to Russia and how energy hungry
China will become soon and the unmeasurable riches in Siberia!

I don't think their relationship will be strained in the ways that many hope. They are both too tactful at this juncture. Energy will be the thing that will put it to the sword tho

I agree but I still feel that they are bum buddies at the moment and it will take sth radical for them to fall out. As long as negotiations prevail, they are on a steady footing
