Kazakhstan is in Europe. Not much explanation required!

actually some explanation is required, because Kazakhstan is NOT in Europe as anyone who has ever seriously studied geography will tell you. Israel is not in Europe either, but it also plays in Euro competitions. If these countries are so European, then why do most European politicians insist Turkey is not in Euriope and therefore does not belong in the EU? Ask yourself that simple question and you will be one step closer to The Truth...

I think culturally they belong to Europe. Kazakhstan is one of the ex-soviet countries, and Israel is populated by people that lived in Europe before. ;) That's my opinion, you don't have to think it's true, but i find it logical.

with all due respect, sir, I beg to differ...Americans are descended from peopple who lived in Europe before too but that does not make them Europeans as anyone who has been to America knows

I know but American people are on another continent. Europe is not really a continent, Asia and Europe is the same continent : Eurasia. So culturally they are closer to Europe than Asia, historically and "genetically", and on the same continent.

Isreal plays in Europe because their games against Arab nations wouldn't be a good idea. In case of Kazakhstan and Turkey only small parts of these countries are in Europe and Caucasian countries (Georgia, Azer, Armenia) aren't geographicly in Europe either. Why they play in Europe ? Turks are too strong to play in Asia, the rest I don't know but It's not about being in Europe but being UEFA member. They wanted to play in European zone, UEFA accepted them, so they play here... There are also other weird things - UK has 4 teams, Faroe Islands aren't even a country...

True. Europe is more a way of thinking, a culture, a History, a people, than a "real" continent ;)

think before you write something.

Kazachstan is sometimes considered a transcontinental country in Central Asia (UN region) and Eastern Europe, with European territory west of the Ural Mountains and both the Ural and Emba rivers.

Europe is one of the seven traditional continents of the Earth as is Asia. Eurasia is NOT a continent but a landmass.

I got back from this game last night and it was an absolute scream. We were awful in the first half and when the lights went out I almost wet myself laughing. That was a totally surreal moment. I could see the the stadium from my hotel and for some reason the lights were still on at 2.45am when I finally made it to bed.

I also got interviewed by Polish TV and I hope to God that it didn't make the final edit as I did talk some utter rubbish, or at least the Zywiec did.

i would be glad if other people could give me an opinion on our team, fed up with the english press!

I think Scotland is the biggest story of the whole qualification stages for Euro 2008
Brilliant team commitment, mixed with enough skill to beat teams with more flair and individual skill. It's a classic football story. I think that Scotland has every chance of beating Italy, I really do. It's so much in their heads and hearts, and that's so important. Poland are really quite similar to Scotland in their situation, I think, but Scotland's group is harder!

The English press is bound to patronise Scotland up to a point and say "isn't it great," and then pounce when they can see a chink in the armour. I don't think they'll have the chance this time..

I know that Europe is a continent, but it's always difficult to describe what it is, and what are its borders. ;)

Very poor performance of Polish team today. They were ambitious, but no skill. Fabianski should be more active on goal when trying to save a penalty kick - standing still makes it too easy for the shooter. Dudek or Boruc are much better in this.

I think the best Polish players today were Matusiak and Kosowski.

The goal comes from a penalty kick ?...

The team was Poland B, except for Jop and Lewandowski, the other players were not the usual players (substitutes), right ?

Yes, it was a sort of stupid error of Jop who was to slow to follow the Hungarian player and kicked him in the chest in the penalty area (got a yellow card for that).

It was Poland B, but it looked as if it was Poland C or D. There were most players who used to play in Poland A there - like Jop, Lewandowski, Brozek, Zienczkuk, Kosowski, Kazemarczak, Gurgala, Sobolewski, Matusiak - - these used to be "good" players, but didn't show that today.

did you watch russia-england?
now i'm starting to think that english football is overrated.rooney and owen are only one who plays with passion.others are just prepotent stars.
if they lost last game with croatia, they're toasted.and they will lose,i'll bet my monthly salary on that.but i'd prefer england qualifying than russia,i like english more.
