Poland: Whats with the crowding? Leave some space >:-(

ok i've been in PL for 6 weeks now.

why is it that ppl in line ups at the Lidl, Berti, Geant have to stand within 5-10 cms of your backside? It's all ages and sexes.

why is it that when i'm waiting in the "line"(and i use that term loosely...perhaps the crowd) for a drink at the bar, some young punk, crams his way past me and others, to get ahead of me? just wait your fakkin turn like all of us. no organisation.

whats the deal on the trams? a few times, there were plenty of ppl standing, but in no way was it packed, and some guy has to put his arm right beside my head while holding the rail on the ceiling? could he have not moved it back 30 cms. there was planty of room. I'm thinking he could be a pickpocket using the arm beside my head as a distraction. I never use a wallet and carry my cash in my front pockets, so i'd be able to tell if someones hand was in there.

I'm at the nightclub, standing on the edge of a not too busy dancefloor, but guys feel the need to stand right in front of me. or when i'm dancing, guys will stop dancing then just stand there in the middle/side and not give any room. so i keep bumpin into them, but they don't get the hint.

When exiting off the bus or tram, the ppl on the ground, do NOT move for the ppl getting out. It's like they will miss the tram while we disembark. or better yet....they try to move up the stairs while ppl are moving down. Its like the trains in Japan. I wait the day for company men to push ppl into the train/tram cars.

now communism has been gone 20 someodd years, waiting 3 days to do laundry, lining up in foodlines are things of the past.

now is this just ingrained in the DNA of Poles??? It's pretty sad that the younger generations just can't give some space.

I didn't notice it even I am a person who likes her owm space. I would say it also happens in Uk in busy pubs and bars.

Tram? I didn't use much of public transport in Uk but I guess that underground in London can be packed na claustrophobic.

D_G, yes I do have great respect for females. Especially Pole dancers, strippers and bar maids

I agree with you tahtw e can be sometimes little pushy ...yes it can be still some "leftoovers" after communism.

And I am not so sure what do yoy compare? Uk to Poland.

When I was in Spain waiting politely for taxi at the airport spanish woman jumped in front of us to the taxi. She had just handbag we had big suitcases...
It never happened to me in Poland.

You forgot to mention when a tram finally comes along, you are just getting on the tram when some old lady smacks you out the way fighting for a seat to sit down. It always makes me laugh, and was the final decision for us to buy a car. And I know what you mean about the armpit problem on busses, hey Polish guys haven’t you heard of antiperspirant sprays hehe

The problem is some peopel go abroad and all the time compare other country to thier own country.

it is fine but some customs will be better some worse.... and it depends to what we compare to the way how we were brought up? people are brought different in different countries and they have different principles.

I was a little like this...but I must adimt I have learn quite much tolerance after moving to Uk.

But again I could sit and list all things which annoy me in Uk.....

Getting back the orignal point, in spain its always the old english people that push in front...in any country for that matter its always the older people that jump the qu....I use public transport every day...and all the points he raised are all quite common in the UK....even walking in the city centre people dont move out of the way....in bars people try and get served first, there are still a few gents out there that will say, after you!..but in the main people are rude no matter what country you live in....the only place you get space is when at the cash point, there must be some unwritten rule bout crowdinig when drawing money out...
