Hey....I can make you smile

I was watching this movie...where a guy spends all his time with bears. Halfway through the movie he snaps and says he's "one with the bear"!!! He gets to the point where he says the bears have the compacity to feel compassion. A week later the bear ate him. I laughed to the point where I thought I would puke

The funny part is.....his father told him he wouldn't amount to s^it!

"Oh yeah? You just watch...."

*Chomp*

"Guess again Papa! As we speak I am being digested to the point where the bear will squeeze me out of his rectum where I will then become a steaming pile of bear ****."

ok that makes sense.. It seems to me that it can be good or bad, depending on the context and how it is said?

In English its either a term of affection, but more commonly a negative feeling. If I were to use it, it would be the latter. I.e. someone who has their hair, nails, skin etc... 'Just so'. (e.g. everything on the outside is front cover perfect) but very little on the inside.

Yeah, sometimes in an ironic and sometimes in a serious way... You'll know when it's said

Hi,
I spend a lot of time in Poland. Far too much time. One factor has an overwhelming negative influence on my experience here. No one ever smiles. Everyone has a long face and seems to be constantly miserable. You see it everywhere, on the buses and trams, even on the streets of this wonderful, bustling city of Warsaw.

it is true and sad because it seems to the people not to import for him to share at least a smile or small chat, they are very serious sometimes even it seemed that they are all the time renouncing.

I believe that to the Polish people it would be very useful for his lives to acquire the book of EL¯BIETA DZIKOWSKA titled " U¦MIECH ¦WIATA " it is a book that recently is published.

greetings and smile, the life complements itself with small details )

Most Poles look like they in bad mood or the girls have periods.

That's rather a silly observation.

to say the least! I think the women in Mr Hunter's life (if any) probably have a permanent period.

Like I said elsewhere on this Forum, smiling and pleasantries are used differently in central and eastern Europe. At first it's a bit disconcerting but you get used to it. When the smiles do come they are just great. Stop moaning, I would love to be back out there.

AntiMono Pole#1 you have a mental problem, the symptoms are evident , go to a doctor, otherwise your anger is going to burn you out, this is serious, dont live in denial.

As far as smiling is concern - we are natural, and one has to deserve to be invited in.

They are probably so miserable because they have heard one to many polock jokes?
Besides when I was there, I saw people smiling. Even at work!!! Maybe it's you???

we Polish people like misery we celebrate every failed National Uprising and battle.

we don't like to smile , if you smile too much in Poland then something is wrong with you.

we Polish people are very jealous if our neighbour is doing better financially than us.
There is a Polish joke about a three farmers. the Jewish farmer is rich and has 3 cows while his neighbours the German and Polish farmers are poor and don't have any cows.

Each night before going to bed the German prays "God may I one day have the money to buy a cow"

while the Pole prays " God may the Jew's 3 cows die "

The most horrible thing is that Poles mistreat their countrymen abroad.

Im astounded how much negative energy you all produce. You who get such a plesure from atacking people just wishing to work in peace. What insecurities do you safer from?????? They contrybute to the growth and development of you country, after all there are no more colonies out there for you to get rich on, so someone has to help you too keeep the motor running. Who ever you are, protecting your Great Britan from those emigrants- it isn't great any more.

How would you feel passing shops every day knowing that you can only windowshop?

Or if you seen ads everywhere realizing that you'll never be able to buy new car, flat, and if you dare to have mortgage the next 20 -30 years will be miserable struggling?

or would you smile if you had bills to pay knowing that it's 75% of your salary?
