whether or not you box or pigeon whole these topics it dosent' mean the people within them are not what i've described. I'm really interested in why people are like that?? honestly, i'm not taking the p*ss here. I mean we could still be crying and moaning about the blitz over london, eeter, coventry or wherever but where not. There is so much 'contempary' issues to deal and live through.

isn't it rather obvious why they were war criminals, hasn't it been stated enough, i mean how many different documents do you need to convince you of that :):). I think everybody gets the basic idea of what the Nazi movement was trying to achieve, along with the actions to achieve their goals.


why are thye going to do that??? To make our child population udnerstand about what happened, so that they are made aware of what happened, the mistakes that were made, real life and many other reasons. I can assure you its not so they go home and talk about it for the rest of their lives :). They give the children a little snippet of history so they 'CAN MOVE ON TO THE FUTURE' having leaned from others mistakes and tragidies.


what you think because i don't believe in constantly going over the same thing again again and again that i haven't read any books, found out information or had those same history lessons myself. You would be wrong in thinking that. I'm just more of an optamist, i'm aware of what happened and who did what. I pay my respects to the fallen, civillians or military and that is enough.

I can assure you the people of London don't cry and continaully talk about the Blitz and what victims they were. No in fact the opposite, it happened, they dealt with it and after the war they moved on. Warsaw was destroyed, so was london, the difference being london by bombs and warsaw by blitzkrieg. The Poles were not the only ones to suffer, the world suffered and we should all pay respects together and be willing to let the past be the past.


don't try a supeiriority game with me kazzzzia, i'm well aware of what went on thank you very much, your more than willing to cry about what happened to the poles but not hte russian in stalingrad or even the people of the former Soviet states who suffered just as much if not more than the Poles.

its not about banning anything, its about why people are doing it, really i'm interested why people are so obsessed with dragging out the same old stories again and again, i mean its all negative and sad rather than anything happy or positive. You can talk about history by all means. Why not talk about your brave pilots who flew in the R.A.F or those who were involved in the 'underground war' in an occupied Poland, instead of victims this victims that, germany this russia that!!!!??? its a genuine question.

When the Brits talk about the war they talk about the good history, liberation, happy stories through tragedy, the war effort and such things. There is a lot to be said for that.

As for the war Poland has its hero's and it has its moments, as i said look at the Pilots and the agents involved in the 'underground war' when Poland was occupied.

Actually I studied history and it's very interesting. I'm not sure why it is that you have a problem with people discussing history. It's a marvellously interesting topic of conversation and it's not about "dragging things up" but about what events took place that shape the nation as it is today. The history is as important as the present or even the future. History tells us things, hopefully teaches us that we made mistakes and hopefully not to repeat them. Without history we are not who we are now. If you are bored by history topics then of course, feel free to not read them and to concentrate more on something of your interest.

there is not problem with people discussing history, not at all, who dosent. However it borders on continual here and its always the same thing with the same results. Where does it get anybody except into manic depressive mode??? WHy is it all people seem to think the only history about is 'bad' history???


i ttoally agree, there is plenty to learn from the future that can be used in the present and the future, or not used in a lot of cases. Although how is that possible if people are continually discussing the history and not moving forward with the topics of conversation??

You just do not get what Polish people and their History means to them. Well, forgive me if I have missed the point here, but isn't a history section where you discuss history? Those who are interested in real estate tend to discuss that there so I always assumed those who were interested in history would then discuss it in the specific forum dedicated to history.



Then you shouldn't comment on what others are saying. You forget that there may have been a point in history where people were told that everything that is wrong with your country is the fault of another country. Everything to be read in the media is carefully worded...think about it...

there are two points here, firstly when i mentioned the Pilots i was refering to talking about history in a positive light, when i was talking to you i was refering to your comments :)


i've spoken to plenty of Polish people, in fact in the last 3 minutes i've spoken to a polish person who dosen't understand why you bang on about it all the time. THe polish people i meet say 'what happened was tragic and we must be aware of our history but it is different in poland now' these are people who are in their later teens or early 20's. If they can realise this surely you can too!!!!!!!!
