Snow =weather which someone who studies this would be interested.. unless your
just a boring person and dont like to talk why wouldnt you offer up some interesting
facts. etc etc.. just like people coming in a public forum asking questions about
Poland and they dont really know much about it other then maybe that is their familys
heritage.. dont be so uppity.. come down a few notches.. thats all.. its ok to be nice
I promise :)

Really? I thought it was clarified by the US government numerous times that there were not any WMDs in Iraq.

I will only say,, that they dont have to be huge bombs buried under a large facility
it could be deadly bacteria.. I dont know why this is not thought of. I guess when
you picture a WMD , we all see a mushroom cloud right??

no. it can be alot more then a bomb.. and its not impossible for anyone with intelligence of it to get ahold of it and do destruction..

let me ask you this.. why blow up a sattelite thats been dormant for a while?
because why?? because perhaps other countries can get ahold of it and do
harm?? is this impossible?

saddam was insane.. he was capable of doing the same things as osama.. and
they might have been enemies, but we were their biggest enemy so why not
ban together?? I wouldnt omit they spoke.. and maybe theres other issues
that were dealth with secretly without media attention... I dont doubt corruption
in ANYONES govt.. because it exists.. and the people do more fighting then the
govts to Peace talks.. None of these jokers are worth their weight in gold..

Visa thing is a big business for many people. Don't even ask how many people pay for that crap and what percent of them is really getting a visa.

I'm a Pole and I must truly say I HATE AMERICA. We bought stupid F16s, we are in Iraq and Afganistan, we'll probably allow THE USA to build their anti rocket system in OUR COUNTRY and we still do need visas! And don't speak about fu$#% illegal polish immigrants since we can (and we do) work in Sweden, Norway or Denmark we don't have to fly thousands kms for much, much less! I've been workin in Denmark last year and saved about 15000 USD after 2 months - I think a guy like me can save in the USA not more than 3000 USD monthly maybe...

retards! yeah i know it's all about government, mr make-war bush but we're starting to hate whole america because of that ...

also the thing about kosovo is very lame...

i think it's the time to hang with russia instead of our big brother who is fu435 us right in our ass.

If you 'hate America' then you don't want to come here, so what are you crying about? You don't want the visa anyway! See, everybody is happy :)

so should we hate all of Poland and what it stands for because of the Kaczynski
twins? the corruption in that govt? or should we take a long look and say hmmmm
it isnt the people who are at fault that one man or two men can fall off the band

Exactly my thoughts. People need to unite, and raise their voices in a positive way. Maybe that'll influence some leaders, if only a little..

TwojSzef, I don't care if you hate America; I know that in most cases it's simple envy because USA is the only Superpower left in the world (at least for now). If enything, it tells me that visas are needed, I don't want people here who hate my Country.
But why do you want to come to a country that you hate? That makes no sense. And if you do not want to come here, then what are you crying about? I don't moan and whine because I can't go to North Korea or Iran...

Thank you Lukaz - you're setting a good example for TwojSzef to follow. If you don't like a country, don't try to go there; It makes zero sense!

Anyone who gets to travel the world and see natural beauty in other places is lucky. Not just those who go to countries you love Kuchi.

And I know it makes you very angry because it attacks your ego but the fact is most Polish people could never afford to go and do what hariball did.

Sucks to be from a poor country doesn't it? But guess what...it is not the fault of the US or any member of this board that you were born here.

I wish I was born in Monaco to the royal family....then I'd have more money than I knew what to do with...but I was not...I guess that means I should hate Monaco. I wonder where I can find a flag to burn?

The people who whine the most about places have NEVER been there. And yes I have been to Monaco ;)

You are totally wrong, dear friend! I just don't like show offs, that's all. You should not underestimate the poles, the wages are rising and rising constantly. One should not forget, where we came from: At the end of the communist era a normal pole earned about $20/month, now it's over 700 - 800 Euros, thats not so bad.

corrupt govts just robbing their people, much worse and here we are the bad guy
but someones mad because his visa was rejected.. if thats the case good. maybe
you dont deserve one, because your corrupted.. get with the program and maybe
someone will give you a break.

I dont like our govt policys either, but I have to deal with it, so does everyone else
its not going to change so get over it already. I dont think anyone elses Policys
are any better.

It looks like the way this whole thing is gonna play out is that sometimes within the next year Canada will become visa-free for Poland and then depending on how well Canada is doing the same will happen in the U.S. I would give it about 1-3 years.

BTW, does anybody knows if "no visa" in Canada also mean a legal right to work?

Of course people like Twojszef will not help the matters by screaming that they "hate America" lol

One would think that now, when there is so many places in the West where Polish can legally find a job, the percentage of Poles who overstay their tourist visa in the U.S. will significantly drop and therefore make it possible for the Federal Government to eliminate the visa requirement.

Oi Patryca. You are a typical American, completely offended when anyone has some criticism. I don't really want to continue the "quote/post" war, but I'll just say you're off the mark. And yeah, there is better policy. In almost every other democratic country.

So.....and I'm not 100% here because my Polish is not fluent...so maybe if grzegorz/admin is there he can can confirm/help my translation.....they have offered Canada the loan of two from eight helicopters that they are sending to Afghanistan!! All I know, is if you are able to save 15,000 USD in 2 months, I want to know what job you were doing?
I know we in the armed forces are notorious for low pay, but that's pretty good pay for a citizen, don't know about people on work Visas.
Military retirement won't pay the bills, and some day I'll have to get another job....

It's not coming *that* soon for me, and with each new election the retirement becomes a little less "beneficial"....most I could hope for is half my base pay and the ability to fly space-available on military flights. Medical used to be free too, but I believe that is going away, Space-A only works if you don't have a job and want to travel to random places most folks don't want to go anyway....(Honey, we're vacationing in Afghanistan again!!!...hmmm doubt that'd go over well...) And 1/2 base pay won't pay my mortgage AND buy groceries...
I have some time before I get there, but I'm at 14 years right now, and one can retire at 20 years....better to have an idea what to do when I get out.

Are Poles good enough??? its a stupidily worded question but anyways, yeah they deserve visa free travel ....... Since joining the EU there is no need to worry about Poles coming to the US in large numbers...... If this doesn't change soon, I support introducing visas for Americans traveling to EU.......

Now I know this issue is not that important since Poles can now travel within EU, but it is important symbolicly....

We won't be traveling there too much in the next 2 years or so.. it's too expensive and we're heading into a recession.

Don't take everything as a personal slight against Poland.

Walhdo,

your right its not personal per say, however after Polands support for US and acceptance into EU it makes no sence.

I know one of US concern is safety however looking at the threat of terrorists coming from Poland its much lower then terrorists coming from western EU. We have such a tiny muslim population and have experienced no terrorists attacks, where as western EU has large muslim population, and has experienced several terrorists attacks or planned attacks coming from homegrown terrorists. You tell me whose the bigger threat.

As to the second reason for not giving visa free travel, chances of any large influx of poles is minimal. Why come to America if you can go to UK, make much more money when taking the exchange rate into account and be much closer to Poland.

What other good reason is there? Because those two above are not.... it might not be personal but its hard not to see it that way
