It's Catherine Reilly here. Apologies for not getting back to you on the forum. We soon will be fully updating our website (metroeireann.com) and the 8-page supplement on the Polish in Ireland will be there hopefully by May, as we have so much material to post. We have also introduced a 'Polish in Ireland' page, co-ordinated by Magdalena Sobczak. The paper is in Eason stores.

By the way Frank, I already explained I was just posting in addition to various other ways of making contacts. I ambush people all the time, which sometimes gets great results and sometimes doesn't. But yes, it is much more personal.

"There's no need to critisize someone here for mistakes in grammar and typo's...it's only a forum. "

Well FISZ you do the same thing yourself. No need for the pot to call the kettle black. :)

How did it go?... "I know that I don`t know, this is why I know more than those who think that they know, but in fact they don`t know" :-)

When I was in Ireland I felt quite integrated and the only problem was the number of Poles over there. Sometimes I just felt more like in Poland than like in Ireland :-) But the Irish are lovely, maybe with the exeption of the drunk bastards smoking on the Dublin Buses :-P...

Today, It seems very much more advance than a few months ago.

There is more intergration and day to day life is a normal as one would expect!
Having 'lived' lol, in Warsaw for a month too - you can see it better when you come back how normal life is here too.

The issue of Polish Integration into Irish society will be around no doubt for awhile in certain peoples views but from what Ive seen - the polish community is very intergrated and becoming more so as time passes.

Ten years ago no one in Poland knew where Ireland was but when the economic boom came it was like 'we know where Ireland is and we want to go there'," said Beata Golczak, 26, who arrived in Dublin a year ago and works in a travel agency.

Beata Golczak is the most conceited person I have ever met - she is working in a travel agency - so what? Does it make her any better? And I agree that she probably didn't know where Ireland was herself if she gave such an 'authoritative' opinion about the rest of HER nation...
Unfortunately, I have to deal with this lady on a daily basis - her company provides services to my company, and it so happens she was designated to liaise with us :(
