customary or not. because really I dont know. but. like i said. what I know
is that they did jump in and help poland.. thats deserving of respect in my eyes.

alcohol and sex before marriage are strictly forbidden in muslim culture, among other things. that is well known.

i have nothing against turks, i just find it hilarious thatsome (not all) have this pious attitude later in life after purposelly breaking the rules of their religion.

There is a whole Polish village in Istanbul. The people of that village are Poles who fled from their country when they were subjected to tyranny. These people have lived in this tiny village for 150 years and they have interacted with the Turkish people very closely.

You could check out that site to find out what the Poles think about Turks. I think they have some idea after physically existing in a Polish village in Turkey.

polonezkoy.com

P.S. The site does not accept web links for guest users so you must add the three w's yourselves.

As for this question. We have a long history together Poles and Turks - you should now what I mean;-). And I have lots of respect for you nation for the sole fact that your nation. During the history at some point we adapted few good things from the turkish culture.

Ranji of course there are peaceful americans, actualy I'm pretty sure that most of americans are peace loving. And its the same in every nation.

However I'm talking about americans as a whole nation and a country. When discussing americans separetly, and asking every single one of them separetly I'm sure most of you would state that love peace and democracy.

But we're talking about the general country actions and policies because in the end of the day ideas and words of single americans dont speak as loud as the actions of the whole nation.

And c'mon you cant hide the fact that US gets involved in all sort of military conflicts around the world, and so did in the past from the moment USA was born.

Now I'm not saying that it makes USA an evil or war mongering country (although some of those conflits are bs) but all those actions clearly state that USA is not a peaceful country.

I've met some nice ones and some not-so-nice ones.
There is a very good Turkish restaurant I go to occasionally, as well as a few dodgy kebab shops.
Of course, it's not all about food, but...

i don't want to generalise on this topic, but Turkish men i came across happened to be the sleaziest and slimiest creatures i have ever seen. both those in my area, and the ones on skype... i have met a few nice turkish people too, dont get me wrong, but seriously if turks want to be respected and liked they shouldnt be so damn full on and sleazy when they are single and looking...

yeah and if we dont get involved people are flippin out saying we dumped them.
its a no win situation.

not to mention all the people of the united states are from around the world.. they
just choose the United states as their homes. and they left these other countries
because there was to much war going on in those countries, so they came to a
peaceful united states , till people from other countries started begging for their
countrymen back to fight in war.. that was WWI .. so please lets try to learn more
about why AMERICA gets involved.. I dont think our leaders are any less corrupt
then any other countries.. But I still want to hold out hope that my countrymen
who are of other nationalities /mixed cultures came here for the same reasons
my grandparents did..

and so scrutinize all you want , especially you ronek. but those of us who live here
and those who have visited,, have the better picture and we are a good nation!!!

despite bushes actions..

Let me write as a guest.I am Türk, too.I don't think people think history too much. After 1848, so many Poles and Hungarian came here and taught many new things. Most of them become muslim. But, most of our people don't know them, i don't think Poles know, either.I think, Poles think according to just what the Türks they saw treat them.Poland is a far country. We don't have so much relation, too.

Somebody said about adultery etc.I thought adultery is banned for catholics, too.I heard that your priests can't marry so that they go to prostitutes.A Lithuanian girl said that to me.In all religions, people do not obey all rules.Faith must be in heart, not in concrete things.I know people who always worship but with have no mercy, also mean, not respectful to others or public rules etc.Worshipping mustn't be everything.

If you are a good person, good people will love you, too. But, they must recognize you, first.Everybody may have prejudices, this is not extraordinary. We have it, too.Human is human everywhere, i think. Some hasn't had good education.I don't mean school, mean life education.

Poles' views are not bad, obviously better than Serbs', Bulgars', etc. They don't have the complexes Balkans have.I don't understand why some Türks have aggressive replies.Just respect others, then, you will be respected by the people you want respect. And don't care too much who loves us etc.Human is human everywhere. All right Türks???

"turks are not even respected by other muslim countries!!!"

I didn't care this last night.Let me continue for this. Can i learn who are the other muslim countries? Can you give any name?

There are several other Turkic nations, too. Most of them are muslim.Azerbaijanis are shia muslims but even the difference of the sect, their best friend is us.In Iran and Azerbaijan, whole Azeri population is much more than 25 million.Sunni Turks of Turkestan admire us, too.Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the Sinkiang area of China. Also, Tatars and Crimean Tatars in Russia, other Turkic and non Turkic Caucasian nations all admire us.

Except Turks, there are other muslim nations, too.In Balkans, Bosniaks and Albanians love us.There are some muslim Macedonians, too.So do them.During the history we have always had good relations with Pakstan. We are not bad with Indonesia, Malaysia etc., too.Afghanistan is conflicted, now.Wahhabi rules there. We have some problems with Iran, because, they see us as a rival.Persians or other Iranian originated nations are not Türk, but Turkmens, Qashqaies and Azeris are nearly 30 million and those love us.Other non-Türk Iranians at least respect. And let's look Arabic world.A Wahhabi nation like Saudi Arabia don't like us, but we hate them, with their fake sect whose have just a history of 2 centuries. But, all Arabs are not wahhabi, but when you say Arab, people generally think Saudies. In Iraq, Syria, people always look us with and admiration. In USSR times, Syria had some bad works against us with them. But, when USA invaded Iraq, they were frightened too much. Some Syrian reporters in Turkey said that, they would want to unite with us if we were Arab, too.In Iraq, people were begging us after occupation, they were begging to Turkish journalists and they were saying "why don't you save us?We have always known you as the defender of the Muslims."In some other Arab countries, situation is not bad, too.Only some wahhabi states don't respect us.And this is not a problem for us, it even makes pleasure. In northern Africa, we are respected, too, especially in Tunisia. They take us as model.
