This thread has made me realise how uneducated and deluded certain individuals can be about war

Really? Why don't you identify these uneducated individuals and tell Randompal why you happen to think that your'e smarter...but please be logical.

If was him which I'm not, i'd start with punctuation, but then again you may be a futurist punctuating ironically. :)

Well BW, that article is all fine and dandy, but the fact remains, OBL does exist, so there was no need to make him up. Don't get me wrong, everyone has a right to their theories.....doesn't mean I have to buy into them especially when they are written by someone with a clear disdain for the government. :)

who said he doesn't exist? a lot is known about him. for example, we know he once allegedly worked for the CIA. we also know that the CIA supposedly clued him in to the drugs-for-arms cycle so he could more easily supply his mujahadeen in Afghanistan (source: Wojciech Jagielski, Praying for Rain)

Randompal appreciates your input, as long as it is logical.

i would have thought, given the obvious incompetence of your government, that anyone with a clear disdain for them is definately worth listening to...

my point being the man who wrote the article has every right to question the actions of the government, just as I have every right to question his agenda behind it. It's no secret that the world hates us, so why not put out a few more theories to add fuel to the fire....

I liked the article if only to remind us of the "War on drugs".
Looks like the "War on Terror" is heading the same way.

Randompal read it, and it is not the first time Randompal has read such anti-government writing. Randompal doesn't know anything about the writer Bowles, so it is difficult to comment. Yes, there may be some truth to some of it, but at this point Randompal can only theorize, which does not constitute The Truth and may lead to a departure from logic.

This statement approaches The Truth, or if you will, one of many Truths. There are many indeed, and not even Randompal knows them all. But He does know a few Truths...

Crap. "Insurgents" have many times attacked people from countries not involved in Iraq. Even from UN and other people providing humanitarian aid.

Some time ago a group of Iraqi terrorists captured a Spaniard (actually I think it was a Spaniard; correct me if I'm wrong) and threatened to kill him unless Spain agrees to immediately withdraw their soldiers from Iraq. The flip side is that at that time there were no longer any Spanish soldiers in Iraq, hehehe… :)

Wrong, the truest Truths are the simplest. Purity and simplicity are almost synonymous. I can give you two Truths as a gift from Randompal to yourself, but the other Truths will just have to dawn on you, like they have dawned on Randompal.
