Polish American as US Republican vice-presidential candidate?

Pol-Am as McCain's running mate?
Has anyone heard that Sen. McCain is choosing Minnesota Governor, Pol-Am Tim Pawlenty as his candidate for vice-president?

I suppose it doesn't matter, he's picked the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin. Don't believe she's Polish, however, I don't know anything about her. Pretty smart pick actually (could be) it helps McCain get some of the disgruntled "Hillary Democrats" and Alaska is a huge energy state, something McCain is percieved as being weak on. However, she couldn't be more of an outsider (she lives in Alaska for Christ's sake) and it could blow up in everyone's face. So we'll see.

Look, I'm saying that the strategy WILL work, just that's what the strategy seems to be. However, you're right, it's not giving these voters much credit if the Republicans think they'll come over just because she's a women. But time will tell.

I don't know man.. she's fairly young and pretty. The South and the Midwest will eat that up.. lot of women too.

As a PL national and non-polonian I'd like to ask a very important question: Why are Polonia members (not only in US) always looking at Pol-Am (Pol-whatever) politicians as if they were saviors of the nation, traditionalists or family people? Is it so important?

From my observations opinions about how a country should be ruled varies between Poles and other groups aswell (ok, maybe not so much in political parties).
