Why not. It doesnt challenge any of the Chrisrian beliefs, its just about exploring your body and learning more about your partner

As long as it is practiced in marriage (between a man and a woman) with the intent of pro-creation, one would presume.

Catholics have sex for fun too, not only for pro-creation. I even read somewhere that they actually have the most fun in the bedroom. Hmmm.

Interesting. As a counter claim:

I'm officially a Protestant (C of E) and I have LOADS of fun in the bedroom. Only the other day I spent two whole days decorating the thing. The sensual joys of wallpaper stripping, the delights of mixing the paint, the sheer unadulterated joy of the roller sliding gently across the walls. Finally the satisfaction of a job well done, completed with a nice glass of wine and a game of scrabble.

Must be that Catholic guilt (I wouldn't know anything about that...sarcasm ) It's always more exciting to do things when you are told you can't do them....rebellion can be bliss!

Tantric sex should be taught

it brings couples together in many positions

Though, this topic, Polish attitude towards tantric sex confounds me, wouldnt it fall generally as attitude to sex? i presume the like it like any if us

tantric

It's Judith Chalmer's standing on the street corners, paul xenon stylee, bathed in a red glow.
No that's not her skin, for once. She's just moved to Cumbria, near to Seascale I think. Wish you were here. Not half.

Ok gentlemen, there is a little bit more to this....

There is more than one kind of tantric sex, just as there are different forms of yoga that can be praticed. This is something that takes time, preparation, and energy to study. It requires a lot of discipline and the ability to delay gratification (probably why it isn't more popular). The idea is to channel energy, using sex, to create a heightened spiritual experience.

There is a left path and a right path. Left path is a little bit dangerous. Awaking the kundalini force can really unbalance a person, even to the point of what looks like insanity. It can also cause physical probelms: inablity to regulate body temp, feeling of electricity looping through body, seeing what is in front of you and behind you at the same time...you get the idea.

If you are planning to embark on this study, find a teacher (a guru) like you are supposed to do. Don't try this without supervision.

I would ask a priest whether or not this is allowed (I'm not Catholic, so I have no idea), but wouldn't a priest be the "expert" on the Church?

I can see that I stirred something here. I wish, I remembered the article or where it was...Anyway, the statement hit me just as much then as it did some readers here based on the comments. Anyway, most Catholics look at the teaching of sex for procreation only as a joke...well, maybe not exactly as a joke but not something to follow. You know most of us like the forbidden fruit, so maybe when you finally reach for it, you can never have enough? Young, married couples in Poland have mostly one child nowadays, so do you think they had sex only once?

ahh thats the public catholic perception, we all love to get to it in private

Humans and Dolphins are the two species on this planet that do it not only for procreation BUT also for fun!

and to be honest, if i met someone who said they never had sex for fun. Id think they were lying.

Tantric is to me, the advanced guide to sex and a real pitty we dont all learn it, as to be able to give and recieve such feeling is to tighten bonds, seal cracks, etc. sex is a physical outlet, an exercise, an enjoyment, healthy so why not do it the best way possible?

Yeah, perception only...I don't know of families having 8 or 10 kids nowadays. The same goes for Ireland, right daffy? I think, only Mexican families are still practicing Vatican teachings in the bedroom.

We lived on a farm, and I am the oldest of five, but not Catholic!

Yes, I did my fair share of labor....loading planters, hauling hay, feeding pigs and cows, and working in our huge garden!
But it was a great way to grow up...wouldn't trade it for anything

my mother was the youngest of 24 children! (irish farm)
(only 16 children survived though due to various things, like cot death, or TB and other 'orribles )

but you just dont see that size of family anymore (and with two younger brothers im glad! i can barely get on with these two :P)

but i think sex was different in those days, it was for procreation as well as fun, whereas today it DOES seem to be more fun orientated - which i dont mind) but ill like ot have a child some day, maybe 2

My grandparents and great grand parents were from huge families. Same thing that you mentioned though, high infant and child mortality rate was prevalent. I can't imagine losing two or three children to illness....I don't know how they endure that kind of pain.

Another interesting note; I have Kelley's on both sides of my Mom's family, that were not at all related, but living in the same county!

My mother was one of 9, my father one of 4. They did pretty good, I was one of 6. My 3 siblings had only 2, one had 1 and my sister and me were married with no kids.
Big change! I was the youngest of 6 and I would not change it for anything, just like shopgirl. There is something great about a big family.

All of us (except one sister who is not married) has one child each.

The sad thing is, all of us (except my brother) has been divorced. We all had the misfortune of finding some of the most selfish, "me" oriented American men on the planet!

I like the Polish value system much better.

not saying there isnt my dad was 1st of 4 and my mom the youngest of 16 surviving. they turned out grand.

I think the key element is a loving family no matter the size
but i dont think sex for fun or tantric sex is preventing family sizes these days.
Its economic, social, cultural change rather - and another topic :P

That's not the kind of selfish I'm talking about, silly man!

I mean: no help with children, or house when both work, watching TV all the time-no couple time, forgetting birthdays and anniversaries, and generally not being "present" in the relationship.

Doesn't sound like you have that brand of selfishness!

Oh and if an American man was presented with the choice of learning Tantric sex or watching football, which do you think he would choose? Think very carefully now...
