As far as I know all Wetherspoon pubs [including Lloyds No. 1] stock Tyskie, Okocim and Zywiec. If my local Wetherspoons is anything to go by you'll find two bottles of Polish beer in the fridge. It's GBP2.10 for a 500ml bottle although last month they were doing it for GBP1.99 as an Independence Day special offer.

Alternatively, go to your local Polish club and ask the barman if he can order you a box of Polish beer the next time he goes to the cash and carry.

I pay approx £ 25.00 for a box of 20 bottles of Zywiec (about £ 1.25 per bottle)

Article about popularity of polish beers in UK.

I tried a few english beers but there are much worse than Zywiec, Lech and especially Tyskie. I call english beers "****" ;) because they are so tasteless and weak. No suprise that polish beers are so popular abroad.

Since my post in December my local Morrisons supermarket stock Zywiec, Tyskie and Lech. I don't need to buy boxes of beer anymore just a couple of bottles whenever I feel the need :)

Most beer is good, except American and Mexican which are bland and tasteless. However, Continental Larger as we call most countries beers are just type of beer. Larger is drank because its basically tasteless and cold, there is little difference between Larger throughout Europe. If you had a blind tasting of every bottled larger in Europe you will be very unlikely to pick Polish or any other nations brew out (some of the best German beer, possibly excepted). They are mass produced for eas of transport and shelf life.

English Beer goes from anywhere from 3% to 12% (when its called barley wine). There are 2500 different ales brewed by 500brewers in the UK. If you go into a Uk bar and order Stella, Fosters, Heiniken or any other largers you are not drinking English beer. If you order beer purely based on its alcohol strength, then you are a peasant who no right to make comment on good or bad beer anyway.

Used to like Polish beer the most until I tasted Czech beer.

There is one particular one, dlugo-something, can't remember the name.
Anyway, its great beer.

I rarely drink tho so I wouldn't exactly be a judge

If Polish beer had half the marketing money Budweiser has it would take over America in 8 minutes.
