I came home about 10 pm. They said on the radio it is 70F. That's a warm, beautiful evening. It was pretty hot today and it will be warmer tomorrow (80's), but only 50 & 60 next week. Personally, I love it. I don't like hot weather.

May 3rd Constitution Day was never celebrated in Poland during communist times. It was not a legal holiday.

Inspired by the American revolution, the Declaration of Independence and the American Constitution of 1787, the people of Poland formed and adopted the first democratic constitution in Europe on May 3, 1791. This become the second democratic constitution in the world.

Over the years, the endless Polish quest for freedom, peace and justice, and the ideals of the May 3rd Constitution united the polish nation and the world's Polonia who celebrated May 3rd Constitution Day.

You'd think that the Cinco De Mayo celebrations would fill up the streets in Chicago. My mother lives in the suburbs and it's still a mad house with all the Mexican parades.

Depends on which part of the city you're on. Polish, Italian, or Latino

(Might be some others, but those are the major ones)

Yes, I was living there at the time, and we celebrated May 1st. I had to walk down the streets with my classmates, we wore school uniforms and it was hot, long and boring. Plus the buses didn't operate regularly on that day and I had to wait 2 hours for a bus to get home which was very, very crowded. Nothing like a tight squeeze!

Well the Polish flags are already out on the houses and cars,
and its only going to intensify until the parade.

I think summers finally here and the parade will be packed!

Sabota noc all the resturants and bars and going to be jammed.
I bet thell have to close down the streets again because of all the cars crusing
up and down Belmont and people are going to have to walk into the hood.

Good times I`m telling you !!!

I gonna have to take some pics to show you guys in Poland
how they do it up in the US.........
