The Polish custom of the promenade

Actually I don't think this is just a Polish custom I've observed this in France and Italy too where families simply go for a long leisurely walk in the park or pedestrianised boulevard. Old couples, teenagers with grandparents (arms linked together), young couples smooching etc

Shame we don't do this in the UK. Our parks here are no go areas in the evenings :(

Italy at about 22:00. It's serious business.

Italy being a prime example. I fondly remember my holidays in Sorrento :)

We just don't have an equivalent here in the UK :(

I think it would work if the UK had streets full of pavement cafes and warm summer evenings.
