Out of interest, has anyone actually been able to obtain a Polish license without going through the normal process?

My Question is : If someone is driving in Poland on an international licence , do they have to re- write and do the practical test in Poland even though they cant speak Polish to obtain a Polish licence, or can they just go to the Polish driving association and pay some cash to get a Tem or Per Polish Licence ?

you can jest get a Polish replacement, without any egzam. but your license (is it British?) is valid as it is. you might have to replace it if you want to register a car for yourself with Polish plates. I'm not sure is it's mandatory though. In Belgium i've registered a car on local plates, based on my Polish license without a problem.

but as far as driving only is concerned, you can use you British license. if you're from the US... I don't know

I didn't say it was expensive. It's just an option. Mind you, I've only heard of one person doing it in Wroclaw.

you have to sit only the written exam, and yes they do for foreigners, but you have to have a qualified translator with you.
