polish equivelent of the name tony?

hi, does anyone know the polish equivelent of the name tony? my busia used to call me what sounded like ontac all the time, but im unsure if this is the name or correct spelling. thanks kaz

I believe Antoni is the equivalent to Anthony. It was the name of one of my great-great-grandfathers. Could that be what you heard?

hi yes thats it. thanks. i just asked my dzia dzia , he lives with me. he is 98 years old, at first it sounded like ontac again but he then said antoni. his accent is kind of strong. thanks again. kaz

my dads name was antoni when he immigrated to australia...changed to Tony upon arrival...my mom and other relatives call my him antek (must be a slang name for antoni).
