For some reason the current moderators of this forums, online now: Zgubiony, daffy, PolskaDoll, porta have twice removed an article I posted in Polish Politics/History covering the recent meeting between Donald Tusk & Vladimir Putin..if you Google this phrase, it comes up first, as a post to Polish Forums...click on it, and see what happens...my question is: why?...this article was posted as a topic for discussion, and was originally sourced from a French publication and included photos from Yahoo!...Why is there a censorship of this?

Actually it doesn't. Both your posts are in random chat and you need to read #10 in the Terms of Service. As usual provide a link to the article and short quote from it.

the moderators deleted my original posts of the articles & moved them to Random Chat...I posted the original article from a French publication w/photos but the moderators here, playing kindergarden games, didn't consider them appropriate for
Polish Politics/History...below is what they wrote to me when I complaied about their censorship policy.

No, the article was not "random chat" but it's there because all you've done is copy and paste an entire article, yet again. Read The Rules point #10 and then you'll understand why it's twice been sent to Random Chat.

I won't say it again - they are not deleted.

'The Rules'...are you perhaps a former Communist Party member?...perhaps I should have just added a comment like, 'This is Good' or 'This Is No Good'?...why not let the people just read and comment for themselves?...'The Rules', indeed!

For the final time, if you want people here to read an article you have found, post a link to the article and a short quote of some of the article text. Do not post the whole article or it will be removed to "Random Chat" and eventually it will be deleted.

Yes, matka, I don't wish to be spanked!
And by the way Polska Doll, if you live in Scotland, you should really try the Hagis!...that, and a good glass of pivo, will improve your outlook on life!

I just wanted to post a new thread, something relative to current events, and get others people's thoughts... but then some silly 'rules'...Enough said.

My outlook on life is fine thanks. The rules are there for a reason and I'm here to maintain them. Start a new thread with your article link and short quote and it will be fine.

I am in insurance, that's bad enough.

Polska Doll, you need to immigrate to the USA...then you can vote for Hillary Clinton...she believes in rules, too, and maintaining them...Pokój jest unto wy.

^ Censored Moderator.

Some of us do follow links when they're posted.
Large blocks of text on here are not particularly inviting on the eye.
I should know - only about three people have been reading my travellogue.

The "original" posts were just a copy-paste from another article. We allow up to 100 words + a link to the original source; we don't think it's a good idea to post FULL articles that have been previously published by other sources. We want to avoid situations where a poster asks, for example, about "the most important historical events in Poland" and other posters go to Google or Wikipedia and copy-paste texts from there to provide "original" answer. Two truly original sentences are many times worth more than a 1000-word article that can be found on dozens of different pages.

From a technical point of view, you may read about "duplicate content penalty" which is one of the reasons we don't allow to publish pre-written full texts.

plk123, I can not believe you're rolling your eyes on me! LOL!

Plus, long text on any of the threads makes me dizzy! I prefer to read a little paragraph to see if it looks interesting to me; and if it does, I open the link and read more.

I mean the quality and user experience, not quantity or ranking. For example, you started a thread about:

Klopsy recipe

Would you like to get a copy-pasted article about "klopsy recipe" as the answer? Exactly the same you have originally found on Google yourself by typing "klopsy recipe" on several different websites.

Good point.
Oh wait!
Any info info (other than some personal bits) can be found on google. Who needs PF, huh? Aren't you shooting yourself in the foot?

The information/fact is one thing; the interpretation and comments on the information is another.

go ahead and dye your hair back to black, ok? ;) :P

you could read the first sentence or two and make the same decision.

yes i would as in a year that linked recipe may not be there and i sure would like to see it again so may others. basically you're not wanting this forum to be a reference.. see the quote below. we obviously understand the definition of quality in a different manner.

C'mon, be serious. What kind of interpretation could there be of a klopsy recipe? To eat, or not to eat? Is that the question? ;)

No, sometimes it is not the same lol ;P I rather read a short summary paragraph than the first few sentences that may not reflect the whole content's idea.

In that case, I don't read anything :) or if I'm really interested on the topic, I find a way to get all the information I need from Google and relate it with the posts in PF, it wouldn't be that hard ;P I rarely click on dead links. I don't care much... anyhow !! heheh
