They are getting killed to increase the price of petrol. The Iraq occupation increased prices. Guess what business Bush and his gang are involved in?

The Tax on Petrol gives the UK the some cheapest petrol in the West. The tax pays for the NHS whereas in the US it ends up buying Oil execs houses and ****** (maybe)

Petrol should be much more expensive. Even at £1 litre, its not a touch on the cost of the damage its doing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but half of the UK's petrol comes from Norway.

Americans call it gas because gasoline is a term for refined oil like petroleum.

The litmus test would be how much do you pay for your water. :)

"Convenience stores and supermarkets now carry a dozen or more water products at prices that run as high as similar-sized bottles of soda. Similarly, Coca-Cola vending machines sell cola, orange soda, and Coca-Cola's Dasani brand of water -- all at $ 1.50."

polarisinstitute.org/bottled_water_and_problems_that_flow

Currently gas in Ontario Canada are $1.04 / litre...

That's kind of ignorant my friend. We don't want the war anymore than anyone else does. The problem here lies in the fact that the American public is given a bad name due to our preisdent. This is not what the people of this land feel at all. We find it as stupid/pointless/ridiculous as the rest of the planet does.

half of the UK's petrol comes from Norway

Norway produces around 3.2 million barrels per day, UK ( 98% from Scotland ) produces around 2 million bbl/day.

80% of the retail price is tax.

This was Bush at his most fiendishly genius, convincing Americans that Bin Laden (if he did it) and Saddam were the same. I still can't figure out how he did it. Thats why I left for Poland but people still recognize me here as an American maybe I should stop yelling "oh my God thats so cheap!" whenever I buy my smokes.
and petrol or Gas or benzyna or stuff to put in car to make it go is about 4.80pln a litre. But Kruk takes the tram.
And isn't the world safer since the war?

Yeah (sigh) It was also a media barrage and as you pointed out earlier revenge feelings for 9/11. Strange when I first read your post a flash of anger went through me then agreement. But man I have got so mad at Polish public transport more than once sometimes it defies logic.

And UK consumes about 2million barrels per day, so its basically self sufficient in oil.

Yes, but this is sold on the open market isn't it?...ie UK doesnt keep its own oil...but buys in other types of oil for refining...there are different grades/qualites etc.
