Well, I do hope you know I'm joking though.

Wouldn't want any of you to listen to me, let alone feel sick because of things I post..

Can I ask u Wyspi and Panienka if u feel that ur English is improving through writing on PF. Do u? Just cuz u r here I ask but this question is open to any Pole.

My students cringe at the prospect of writing and feel that it doesn't help them but I assure them that they are wrong

Wyspi doesn't swing that way I think. She might beat sth else tho, that isn't hers, hehehe. Beating the horse in Polish (walic kon or sth like that).

Horses and eggs, how modest the Poles are!! LOL

Question: Why can some people say exactly what is on his/her mind and not worry what others will think or if it will hurt someone?
Is it because you are anonymous here?
Can you be that way all the time, with anyone?
Does it depend on your mood?

Just curious....
I can't really do that.
Unless very pissed off, but even then I'm nice....

I do :) but i want it and i translate every doubtful word, and also when i want to say something i need a dictionary. Sometimes i don't fancy but i feel i must read another long post and of course translate it hehe. Even if i understand everything, sometimes i have problem with context... writing here is good to improve basics, fast thinking and reading :)
but i know i make mistakes in every post hah

I personally prefer when someone tells me the truth instead of just being nice so I do the same to other people plus I'm bad actress I guess.

I like the truth too. But I can't tell it without first putting myself through the paces of how what I will say is going to affect the listener. It's a problem.

even if you think you do, you probably have improved a great deal of PF. The best way to find out is to check your earlier posts;)

that is very unhealthy SG;).

Actually a lot of people use internet as a way of getting rid of those negative emotions.

Just shut that out and concentrate on what you really want to say and feel. Its better to carry some ill will towards you for one or two comments, then to pretend.

I think both or ur English is really good, as is the general level on this forum. It takes some courage to type on some tricky topics.

Oh, Fil1, is this what u had in mind? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpWEv3cs2Wc&feature=related, this is horrible

I think I have adapted this because in face-to-face dealings a lot of people are intimidated by me. I don't know why that is, but I have been told this all my life. One friend said I was like "the godfather" or something. So I try to speak very gently and carefully.....

But even if people are afraid of me, I'm still not a mean person at heart.

to tell you the truth, I don't most of the time. I am known as a brutally honest person, but I think about the 'receiver's feelings sometimes. It really depends on the situation. Some people like it, some don't but at least they know who they are dealing with. I used to be more honest and I can see that it actually hurts my relationships.
I am polite most of the time. One doesn't exclude the other;)
