aah if they win i can see my man flying over the roof from happiness. lol

Be prepared to cancel your next holiday so he can spend the money going to Moscow for the final. I broached the subject with my wife last night and got a frying pan round the head for my troubles. She's worked out that Moscow will be four times as expensive as Athens last time round.

I'm not really sure why but the women in my family marry for the long haul (no divorces) and when their spouse dies never remarry.

it's better for everybody to get a divorce when you are unhappy...

It's best not to get into that position. Divorces shouldn't be granted for unhappiness

would you rather be unhappy, live with an unhappy person and make your kids' life miserable?

I think the important thing is always the kids. It can sometimes be harder on the kids if the marriage is a "forced happiness". Parents think that they are doing their best by staying together in order to provide a family atmosphere but often it has the opposite effect.

So how did we get talking about this in "Why Polish girls are awesome?" thread? :)

You know what, I have to agree with the guy who started this thread - in part at least. I see alot of polish girls around my town and you can always spot them a mile off and they are usually quite stunning but I'm never sure if that is just because they truely have model features or because they are different. One of my friends is Russian and she too along with all her friends was stunning when she arrived here. However, i must say that after just a few years of living here she is almost unrecognisable now. I don't think that the British way of life agrees with her at all and she seems to be aging at the speed of light. It made me think that here our fast food culture, our tvs etc lead to some of us ( not everyone because some of my british mates are just drop dead gorgeous) looking not at our best, not reaching our full potential.

As for our personalities etc obviously the way someone was brougth up has a role to play and probably there are differences between nations just as there are differences in cultures.

I can honestly say that Polish girls, the ones I see anyway ARE awesome! I don't feel bad or defensive about that because it doesn't mean that my fellow Welsh babes are not, we're just different and to be honest I can't think of anything worse than getting all dressed up in a certain way trying to be super girly to please some guy. I like to please myself and the people that I truly care about as I think that's what life should be about

XD
