this is true, we now have two Polish Vodkas in my local Sainsburys - also I will add that they now sell beetroot soup (Borscht) but for some reason it says its Russian on the label and its in the Kosha section

Not all of Britain as it happens. The Romans had boats but not mettalic ships which were invented by the British as a by product of the Industrial Revolution.

Steel boats are not an invention. They were a modification of an existing invention which was in use for thousands of years.
