If you divide casualties on ethnic origin then numbers are different. About 3 millions of Poles. While from about 20 millions of Soviet citizens, about 7 millions were Ukrainians, 2 millions Belarusians. The number of Gypsy victims was below million if I recall correctly.

War is something that is not to be glorified; those who's land it's fought on, never feel any glory - only dead and the dying on the fields, of which they are often drawn into.
