I had friends who went to Africa for a hunting safari, they steal everything! they stole their $5.000 gun by ripping a hole in their tent, they charged them double the price than what quoted and tried to steal anything they could. You have to be careful in Africa.
You cannot compare The uncivilized African Hooligans to Polish Hooligans.
The Polish ones are much cuter....

Yes but I've never met one so cannot comment from personal experience. I thought it was mainly around football and a few small groups of right wing politicos.

Is it a bigger problem that I think then?

I don't care about them, however I do not think they are especially... well how to say it... intelligent/sensitive, but well everyone lives as he wants.
The only thing I mind is if they fight on sport events.

When it comes to hooligans, they shouldn't belong to any nation (unless it's called Holliganland). Their goal is to make mess and distract others so I don't approve them.

I've been to watch Arka Gdynia play, good fun got pissed, but there was no trouble, there were no opposition fans, which kinda made the atmosphere a little one sided.
There is a film called Kalatka (spelling?) which is a documentry style film about Yuuff culture and fottball hooliganism. People get over excited, most of the time the hools just hurt each other. If they weren't doing it using rugby as a medium of translated tribal loyalty, it would be another theatre. Young have and always will fight, its in the genes. Secondly men will always fight in groups for a cause or a perceived reason, or indeed purely for the sake of violence. Straight society is scared of something which rarely they are affected by. Media hype, serves to stoke the flames and is a great blind for the more unpleseant truths about our existance.
Far better to print lurid tales of meaningless violence disgrace our national sports in foreign lands, than discuss civilian casulties in Iraq, for example.

People should be thankful that hooligans tend to congregate around football, that way the police are already in place to control serious carnage.
Indeed pre-arranged fights between competing teams/firms are underground events away from the public gaze, just like most underground fight scenes. It is remember illegal.

As a youth I was rather partial to the whole charade, it provided excitement and a buzz.
Thats what most young men seek. Now that I'm a little more mature I refrain from such activities, but do not frown on them. If men (albeit young), wish to beat each other up, then who are we to complain. Especially if the closest we get is the TV or newspaper.

I appreciate it is unnerving to be near these people, but to be honest its unnerving being near any large noisy groups.
Bubba I'm sure your train incident was memorable and given you weren't hospitalized, provideds you with a good after dinner tale.
